Well, discovered a split in my boots last week. No riding for me. Ordered up a set of boots, had to wait a little longer because UPS decided to, well, be UPS and sort my box incorrectly. Finally got them yesterday and they don't fit right. I love buying on the internet, but this kind of crap frustrates me. Same brand, same size, funky design on the new boot. Time to hit some brick and morter stores so I can ride again...but then again, it is 100F outside right now. Sigh.

It's been brutal lately in Flatistan, more so than usual. Vic, as long as you get it back in time for the RTE, it'll all be good.

Yep, I'm glad I have all sorts of time. When I get it back I'm going to ride the crap out of it to make sure the problem is solved.

Jealous Elfyguy, for sure!
Let me be clear - I paid several hundred $$ more for my FJR than both of my FZ1s combined. I do all my own work, and would never want to be "bikeless" if something takes longer than expected..

I hear you, eflyguy. It's extremely rare for mine to be in a shop let alone two and a half weeks. I get the heebe jeebes when I don't see my bike in the garage for even one day.

The bike is back "in" the house. It was an intermittent ignition switch. And yes! It's "in" the house. Why? Because I have a lot of stuff to do on it prepping for the EOM and it's blazing hot outside and I want to work on it having a beer or two in air conditioning . And... Because I Can! :punk: :yahoo:

Now ...... is it just me, or do you trust someone to work on your bike when they can't figure out how to post photos here?

Signed,
(apparently) a buddy of majicmaker

In my own home now, there will be much maintenance indoors while it's hot, or once it gets cold, until I get my garage/workshop built..

I swapped over a New TomTom Rider GPS and rerouted it's power cable made by an electrical buddy of mine at the airport. It looks like a professional job now. 75 degrees is better than 100 any day of the week. I'm happy!

I'm not judging, mind you. But based on subtle and not so subtle hints throughout those pictures, it would appear to me that M/M's home is not operated by any SWMBO.

In the Pants home, the FJR in the house would absolutely be over ruled. (boo) JSNS.....

Glad you got your bike fixed, my friend.

Are you planning to attend FJRBandit's shin dig in late October? Hope so - cheers!!!!

You would be assuming correctly, hppants. I Am the king of my castle and I'm single. That space looking through the door is the living room. I turned it into a bar. Why? Because I Can! It seems to be a popular place among my friends. The garbage men look at me funny when they see all the adult beverage containers that they see in the recycling bin. I keep having to explain to them that I'm not a lush. All of my friends are.

When and where is this shindig of which you speak?
