I just arranged a one week vacation from work starting the 29th of June. I'm having some difficulty finding a "motorcycle friendly" campground with pop-up camper accomodation (electric hook-up) in the Blue Ridge or Dragon area. I had planned to go to the Ironhorse Motorcycle lodge in Stecoah but they seem to be full up. We'll be taking the truck w/camper. Any suggestions that are current from someone going through the same thing? Thanks

:) An excellent location is the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground. A great place in a great location just off the BRP near Mount Pisga on NC hwy 276. It is in a little community called "Cruso". Just turn west on 276 off the parkway and go about 3 miles down the hill. It is on the right. go to www.blueridgemotorcyclecamp.com and check it out. They serve breakfast and dinner. No fourwheel vehicles, but your MC camper is OK. Right on the Pigeon River.

+1 on blue ridge cycle camp. Food is generous portions for the $$. recommend the pancake and bacon. Pancakes cover the whole plate!!! Can't get more bike friendly than this place. I don't know if they have elec hookups for your pop up. There were alot of bike popup campers, but i didn't look very close. Finding a spot shouldn't be a problem. We were there over Memorial day weekend and there was still plenty of room. Of course the prime spots beside the river were full, but plenty of room otherwise, and that was over a holiday weekend. Not sure how you are navigating coming down, but the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed north of Asheville. They said the road slid off the mountain. You can pick up the parkway in Asheville and run it south to hwy 276. Turn right and follow it a few miles, campground on right.

Looks like we'll be staying at "kickstandlodge.com". The wife said that they seemed like nice people over the phone although they are running short handed with the loss of one owner and they don't take CC numbers over the phone to hold your site. My brother was going to drive up from Tampa and meet us there but unfortunately they don't allow pets so it will make that more difficult too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The wife says that she's up for an adventure and she may just get one!
