I can give you my insight, I bought a Busa a few years ago with the intention of using it as a sport touring bike.
I never could get it "comfortable" for me at all. I had Gen mar risers on it, tried Heli bars, a Tobin seat, lowered it, a double bubble windshield, throttlemeister, I just could never get it where my neck, and shoulders could stand any long distance rides. After a 500+ mile day in West Virginia, my neck, and across my shoulders hurt so bad that when I got back, I sold it the next few days. I loved the power, and the looks of the Busa.
It all depends on you stature (I'm 5'10") age etc. I think. Not for me though.
The FJR is a good fit for me with no mods, other people change a lot on them to make the fit.
