I will be perusing this thread, and watching for some route ideas for that area.

Back in the first post of the following linked thread, Fred posted Dropbox links to the infamous NERDS rides

That should get you started for a bunch of great rides centered at Stowe.

Edit: If anyone is doing a trip from more southern areas to the (relatively) cooler north country, you may have an added bonus of taking in the total eclipse of the sun on the way home on August 21. The path of totality is about a Saddle Sore 1000 (1000 miles) away from Stowe. Have a look at the interactive map, below.

We haven't missed one yet! We'll be in the early bird group again as Paul had the winning bid for the full week. And as last year, we left the king room on the table and went with two queens with the hope that our son and daughter-in-law might ride up and join us for a few days.

Yes to the pocket protector, coke bottle glasses are optional. A slide rule is also optional and only bring one if you know how to use it.

Josie and I are planning on going up on Monday and making a full week vacation of it. I know a couple of the other locals are planning to do likewise. As folks chime in I can add your name to a virtual guest list on the first post.

This thing has always been a great time in the past. I see no reason it won't be likewise this year!
