I grew up in Boston and have sat in the cold aluminum stands of Schaefer Stadium (the old stadium) watching the Pats, and seen a couple storms in my day, BUT....

I turn on ESPN tonight and they say the Foxboro area has had a foot of snow and on Sunday a nor 'easter is going to drop a foot of white stuff on game day! Is this supposed to be true? Is this revenge for Bilichek getting caught filming the Jets this year? With the Pats having little in the way of a running game lately, can the Jets possibly do the unthinkable and win in the mess?

Miami’s Shula: Never forget, never forgive. Shula still can't rationally talk about this and it affects the way Dan Marino and Don Shula talk about the Patriots.

On Dec. 12, 1982, work-release convict Mark Henderson used a snowplow to clear a spot for John Smith to kick the winning field goal in New England's 3-0 victory over the Miami Dolphins.

Stranger things have happened but I wouldn't bet on the Jets to pull off an upset.

Being a COLTS fan, I hope Brady and Company stays undefeated until we knock them off in the playoffs! :yahoo:

I remember that game! That was the same era of the San Diego/Miami marathon play off game. Those were good football years!

I'd love to see a football game in 30mph winds with a foot of snow dumped during the game. Of course, I'd love to see it on TV in my temperature controlled home theater, and not actually at the game! :)

I would like to see them undefeated right up until Brett Favre throws that unimaginable TD pass in overtime to win the Super Bowl! (And this from an Eagles fan.)

This was one of the greatest games ever played. The first half ended with Miami scoring on a pass to the sidelines at about the 30 yard line I believe, the receiver lateralled the ball to a back who went in for the score. It was an unbelieveable "bang bang" play. By the end of the game Kellen Winslow (Miami Tight End) was so tired they had to carry him off the field. It was one of those games when the saying " They left it all on the field" was not a cliche.

I am not a Pats fan but i have to agree with a Yahoo sports writer that called this Patriot season the "We Will Crush You Tour". Against the best in the league...the Cowboys, the Colts and the Steelers the writing was on the wall by the end of the 3rd quarter.

You have to know that Bellichick wants to obliterate the Jets for busting him back at the beginning of the season. The snow may keep the scoring down but I believe that even if three feet come down during this game the jets are going to take a pretty bad beating.

But you know what? I been wrong before :p

I remember that game too! Awesome.......but the league changed the rules and you can't do that anymore. I bet they blame Coach B. for that too..

The Patriots are an good team with extraordinary amount of good luck. They should have lost two of their last four games. I expect that their good luck streak will continue this Sunday. They have prevailed before in blizzard conditions. 2004 season playoffs I think.

I shoveled out 9+ inches last night and we are expecting a big storm for Sunday. No two wheeeling for a while :angry2:

Murph, So far your efforts are unrewarded. You may want to check your connection.

They have allowed the use of leaf blowers or equivalent to clear the field yardage stripes. The NFL rule book covers "Unfair Acts". I think that the determining factor is that the action is approved and equal for both teams.

I'll book even money bets on NE at my paypal address. :D

I am a Pats fan but I am fickle, I only like them when they are the best team in the NFL. Of course I have been lucky lately.

I predict the house will be ROCKING on Sunday. Yes, there will be some revenge in air as well as the white stuff. The revenge will be aimed at squarely the Jets who whined about the Pats doing what every team in the league does, stealing signs from the opponent, and then promptly got caught doing the exact same thing themselves the very next week.

Don't worry about the snow. It has never been a big problem in the past.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pats run up a pretty big number even though the weather won't likely be conducive to scoring. The Jets are going to be the weakest team they've seen since Buffalo (56-10), and they didn't have any axes to grind with them.

Wouldn't that just be the friggin' greatest moment in the history of the NFL!

That assumes though, that the Pats MAKE it to the Super Bowl.
The more questionable assumption is that the cheeseboys could make it through. I'm thinking Dallas might have something to say about that...

Yah, right! :yahoo:

They shoulda lost to Baltimore, but something was on their side. Other than that, I'd like to see them go 16-0 just to make the Dolphins SHUT THE **** UP and shove their champagne up their ass. They may have been undefeated, but w/ that schedule they should've had no problem and they eeked out too many games when they shoulda blown the opposition out if they were that god :glare: .

When do the Pats play miami anyway?
