This is all over the news now, but if you've missed it . . .

It's the new 55 decibel (as loud as a normal "indoor-voice" conversation) all terrain, two-wheel drive, internal combustion/electric Special Forces "Silent Hawk" motorcycle. Since it's a prototype, who knows if they'll use them, or put them into production for you and me, but pretty cool.

Supposed to run on most any fuel--gas, diesel, bourbon, corn oil, kerosine, you name it. (Not really sure about some of those.) 80 mph top speed, up to 60 miles or two hours range on the batteries alone. I want one.

Here's a link.

The DARPA based article I read was full of information that just doesn't add up. They list HP and Kw values that contradict each other, and the weight is much higher than it would look like.

1) No chain to the front tire, so how's the 2WD work? (edit: the electric cable is visible on the website's picture.)

2) NO WAY I'm using bourbon as motorcycle fuel. Brain fuel, yes.

3) Two-wheel drive motorcycle ... well, kind of a motorcycle: https://www.rokon.com/gallery
