Ran my battlaxs down to the point of being scary. Almost lost the front end on a tight 90 the other day. Thats it, gotta get new tires! So spent all my mad money and got a new set of roadsmarts Friday. :yahoo: Damn! So this is how an fjr is supposed to handle. No more following the grooves in the road or skipping the front tire around corners or wobbling around at slow speeds or falling into corners. Here wait let me say it again :yahoo: So far I love the Roadsmarts but then again the wore out Battlaxs are probally not a good comparison, anything had to be better.

So where is the cheapest ONLINE place to buy the Pilots? We have a nearly 10% sales tax here in LA County thanks mainly to the socialists in Sacramento and I refuse to feed their habit.

Curious,

If low price is your only requirement, an internet search is your friend as prices change and vary too much to keep track, IMHO.

Also a forum search for Pilot Road II (I assume you're referencing that version) will likely give you hints where others have found them.

SWMOTO has consistently low prices with free shipping if you buy a pair last time I bought from them.

Several dealerships and vendors have been good to the forum and offered discounts on items. You can check on those as well if loyalty is also a factor.

Good luck.

Thanks Shiny. I'll have a look.

There's a spreadsheet over in the other forum where Jagermeister updates dealers/prices reported by forum members. Look in Tech Discussions/Tire talk.

Just received a set of PR2's from SW Moto delivered in 2 days for $310.90...hope I like 'em...they sure are pretty!

What tire pressure should I run? (hey, it's almost Friday)

I put on a new set of tires about two weeks ago. Got the PR2s and I am very impressed by them. I can lean the bike into a turn and it is completely neutral in handling once on its line. No rider input needed. Initiating the turn is very light too!

Me likee! :yahoo:

Scott

I just replaced my old, well worn PR2s with a set of Stradas. This is my first set of Stradas and they are my new favorite tires. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Of course I say that after just about every tire change no matter what the new tires are.

Are you supposed to check that? Also, where is the blinker fluid located?

:D
Tyler you are so out of it...FJR's don't have blinker fluid, that stuff is so 20th century, it's flasher fluid, much more high tech and 3x's as expensive, but at least you don't have to wonder if you need ASE or metric blinker fluid. The new stuff is digital...(Triumphs still use blinker fluid I suspect, hence your question...)
