Saw one of the first new Roadliners yesterday:

it was a beautiful pearl white with gold pinstripes. VERY VERY elegant. NICE details and lines. New aluminum frame (and lower engine) make it INSANELY light feeling. This particualr model was a little too 'chrome heavy' for me...the 'Midnight' version looks NICE...
The photos on the website DO NOT do this bike justice. There's a 3-dimentional aspect to the 'grill lines' that you miss. And they blend into the frame. The 'arrow' type design lines flow thru the bike in one seamless line, from the grill to the swing arm to the tail lights. The best word to describe the bike is SLEEK. (ok..I have short arms..the bars are a tad wide for me)...
The 'heel-toe' shifter is redesigned. Hard to describe, but it's much more 'functional'. The 'heel' part doesn't get in the way if you just want to shift conventionaly.
I had a 2000 Roadstar that I enjoyed...but this thing looks like everything I wanted the Roadie to be. More power, better brakes, better lines, lighter...blah blah..
would make an excellent addition to the FJR for days when 'cruising' is more in the mood for the day.
