Rog is going but won't confirm what time. Let's wait and see what the weather is like later next week.

So Far, KSU sometime between 8am and 10am from Rancho Cordova. I am not a wuss but, Terri already made plans to ride with Deb.

You know Rog and I are just holding the bars, not calling the shots. ;) ;)

Oh my, that's a pretty good definition of back-seat driving!

Or were you merely indicating the preferences of your respective "Social Secretaries"?

I mean...er...uhm...SOME of us have learned to fill in our own calendars..........

Thniking about riding on New Years weekend and meeting for Brunch somewhere. Maybe Jackson Rancheria, they have nice covered parking for motorcycles. Open for suggestions and if someone has a good route for after food.

My thoughts are a shared destination for eating and visiting. Then it becomes a decide and ride. That means your on your own after food.

What day will bring the most people out of the house. I would like to start the year with good friends and good food.

Post up and give your opinion, yes even Old Michael is welcome, hope to see you all soon.

Hey Dude, are you speechless, are you joining in?

I seem to remember Rich saying he was working on some routes.

There are plenty of great low altitude routes in that area:

North from Pine Grove to Volcano, RamsHorn Grade, Shake Ridge Road, Sutter Creek Road, Fiddletown Road, Shenandoah Road/Mt. Aukum Road.

West from Jackson is Stoney Creek Rd. to Pardee Dam.

If you want to ride farther South there's Poole Station Rd to Hwy 4 uphill to Angels Camp.

South of Jackson is Hwy 26 between Mokulmne Hill and Pioneer.

Therer is no lack of interesting scenery and fun roads. It's the time anyone wants to spend and the weather. None of the roads mentioned would be particularly fun in a rain storm.

Yeah ..... Ahh izz a wuss...
I'd heard Scousers were NEVER wusses.

Ay yous go'n?
It's a little known fact, but, Scousers (especially mature ones) become mildly wussified purely by having emigrated to the USA

This condition however is very easily overcome by basic Scouse animal instinct ......... :p

Oh ...... Ay's goin' ... wuddn miss eatin a chip buttee at der Rancherreeeeea :D

So is this going to be New Years Day? What's the meet time in Jackson? Even Mrs. Bug is willing to go weather permitting and the state hasn't washed away by then.

It appears we're meeting there and heading to Jackson for brunch.

While I'm not on the planning/organizing committee, I'm surmising that is the semi-master plan.

We're awaiting Debs' and Teri's Excellent Adventure Agenda! :)

It'd be easy to ride from Rancho through Ione, cross Hwy 104 on Buena Vista Rd. and left on Stoney Creek Rd. to Jackson then uphill on Hwy 88 to the Rancheria.

OR: Take Sunrise or Latrobe Rd. to Hwy 16, South on Hwy 49 to Sutter Creek, Sutter Creek Rd. to Volcano, R oto Pine Grove and downhill on Hwy 88 to the Rancheria.

OR: Fiddletown Rd from Hwy 49, R on Shake Ridge Rd., down RamsHorn Grade to Volcano, R through Indfian Grinding Rock to Pine Grove. R on Hwy 88.

OR: Anyone else have an idea????

Whichever route we take everyone should consider that it has been raining, the road surfaces will NOT be optimal and we should plan on riding accordingly. Riding cautiously and carefully is a good thing.....actually enjoying scenery: amazing!

Yeah...Roger and Mike! Fer goodness sakes!

Er.....Dave, it IS New Years Day, Saturday, January 1st,!

The wimminz is plannin' cuz they're prettier, smell nicer and give better hugs. So there!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Should we start a new comment area?

I propose Rancho Cordova, KSU @ 10AM.

Easy location for those coming from hither, thither and yon. Late enough time nobody has to leave home @ 0600 (except Highlander or JB & Fang).

Okay, Hycle, the thread is yours, the ride is yours and Rogers, the ladies need to firm up the outline so others can make their appropriate plans........and you need to post the resultant decisions..

New Years ride is on New Years Day. That is Saturday Jan. 1, 2011.

Meet up at 10820 Olson Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 (Starbucks)

Kick Stands Up (KSU) is 10:00 am PST.

Ride whatever way you want to go to Jackson Rancheria, 12222 New York Ranch Road, Jackson, CA 95642

Meet up at motorcycle parking area, lower level, parking garage for tire kicking session. 11:00 to 11:15.

Wander into Casino and have lunch, at the buffet, or lose your lunch money playing video poker.

After stuffing yourself beyond reason you will want to go back to the casino, to try winning back your lunch money.

Some will want to eat less and ride more, don't be surprised if people disappear while I stuff my face with food.

Some folks will want to spend the afternoon riding cool roads and I will leave that up to Rich, Mad Mike or whoever wants to lead the way.

I may spend the afternoon gambling away my unemployment check or filling out job aplications as a parking attendant.

I expect to see small groups coming from far and wide to meet at the Casino. Some may come by car, truck, or the gambler special bus.

However you get there, just do it.

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Mike

Rich - bum a seat with you if you don't get a better offer ? ;)
You''re assuming he'll get a BETTER offer?

1.) Yep!

2.) Snowballs? We can get our own, thank ye. 45-50 miles East and there's plenty of snow in the Sierras.

3.) He-who-brags-about-his-bum can defend his own bad self.

Ahh, now I get it. Mike, you would make a great Motorcycle Parking attendant. "Sir- I really don't understand how your bike has an extra 100 miles in it".

On the calender fer sure!
