I'm lurking here. Lurking is my way of saying that I don't know if I want to commit to saying I'm a maybe for this ride just yet. Can we stay off sandy roads? I was on this ride a few years ago and that sand on the road got into all the cracks and crevasses on my bike. Boo.

From some of the conversation I've read, I think there are those who will meet at Starbucvks and ride directly to the casino, no back roads, etc. SOme of the more adventurous types may ride other routes to the casino or afterward. I believe it was posted to be a "shared destination" so everyone can choose their own route. It's more about meeting and greeting old and new friends.

Besides, we get to post pictures for some of our Winter-bound brethren to envy .... er.... enjoy.

It's really no big deal, I just wanted to bust the chops of those individuals who are reading this thread who I "blame" for leading us down those roads. Oh and for ditching me at Lake Camanche! :finger:

As far as me joining in on this ride, it really depends on how NYE goes. I'm going to a party which I think will be pretty mellow and low key but... you never know. I know the KSU time so, I'll either be there before then or I'll see you in Jackson or I'll check this thread on the 2nd for photos.

Y'know, I think of Rick and Karen every time we head out on another adventure. Yes, Rick, I do look at your pictures of AK but it's not the same as face-to-face time.

OTOH, after riding up to Donner Summit with CDogman, MM2 and Exskibum in a downpour last month--I'll see you there too. IF dry.

Positive thoughts for sure! I need tires before hitting the twisties on wet pavement.

Trying to wait till spring before laying out the cash. Work is only 5 miles away and the
