Cool! I'll set the throttel lock at 4800 in 5th and let her pu and shiver me through the dark hours.

See you when I wake up.

Sign me up. Catherine won't make it 'cause her knee's still on the mend. Hope I get lucky and just have to take her out for dinner - last time I left her at home while I went riding she went furniture shopping.

So close yet so far away,

Coming back from Redding that day.

While I look at colleges to pay,

You guys get to ride and play.

Sucks for me but you guys have fun!

Bummer -- I can't make this one. You picked my daughter's birthday! I would invite her to ride along on my Triumph but her pace would put us on a schedule to return by the summer solstice. ;)

Hmm… as it just so happens, I might be in that neck of the woods that weekend. I may have to join you guys for a little ride. I should know tomorrow afternoon if I will be there.

So it look like the planets have aligned, and I will be in NorCal next weekend. Is it OK for an Arizonan to join in on this fun? If so, where is this gas station in Jamestown? I've ummm, never been there.

Some people will do anything for a free lunch. :D

You know exactly where this gas station is, you only passed right by it on the way to the first checkpoint of last years Cal24. :haha:

Let's see, coming into Jamestown, on the right (South) side of the 2-lane highway, a rather large sign that says "Chevron"....just underneath the sign. ;)

When you get to the Harley dealer, you've gone 100 yards too far. :D

I've been suffering a little planetary alignment myself. Even if I was not working, my bike isn't running well enough to keep up. It takes about 15 seconds* to go from 70 to 140 in a top gear roll-on. ;)

*time estimated, poorly

That's what you get for saying 'free'! :D

Yeah well I wasnt exactly looking for gas stations at that point in the rally. I was more concerned with finding the Harley shop and deciding if I was going to try the Ghost Town thread or not. :p

I'm tunneling out. I should be under the wall by Thursday. Count me in. (house remodeling sucks)

Right you are seadog. A nice rideout is just the ticket after remodeling.

I'm assuming we are keeping an eye on the weather reports. One place says "rain", Yahoo says rain on Fri, cloudy on Sat, rain on Sun.

This should be an interesting way to scrub in the new Pirelli Stradas.

Hey Mikey, post up a report on those Stradas after you get 'em scrubbed in, k?

A wet 49 would also be a good place to scrub in your new bike. Watch yourselves out there, or just wait until the 22nd, when I can come along and play safety officer. :D

I have enough trouble on a DRY Hwy 49! I'm thinkin' Hwy 4 from Stockton to Copperopolis should be a good way to "warm" them up.

@TWN, that's why I am trying them. I didn't get the "E"-spec rear as it isn't available yet. My plan is to see how this rear works, then replace it with an "E" spec. BikeEffects has thePirelli's and likes them and I think Toecutter is also running them. I want to compare them to the Pilot Roads. Y'know my rebellious nature isn't going to let me run Avon's like everyone else. :D
