It's not polite to brag.

As intervention, I'm going to violate the rules on waiting two tags before claiming again.

Grab -

(BMW calls it a "multifunction display", not an odometer.)

New Tag - Ruins. Can be an old foundation, modern wreckage after a fire, storm, etc, or old industrial site. Wide open.

This is an old house that only has the basement foundations left.

Close up.

I'll delete this if people chime in that they want the odo tag to go on, but my thought is it's too random. As in blind luck that any of the players are coming up on a combo of numbers that will allow three zeros. Comments welcome and encouraged.

Meaning my sculpture is bigger than your sculpture, I hadn’t thought of that way but I guess it is.

I think most would understand the Tag given the example posted is without doubt, the total miles on the bike. What could be more appropriate than a tag that requires one to ride their bike, no matter the distance?

If, however, their odometer (not their tripmeter) already displays the three zeros, they have the Grab. It would be like pushing their bike out in the front yard and taking a pic of the two swan sculptures made from car tires. At least they’re car tires....

Keep Going!

The point is it's too random. It requires that one of the tag game members has an odo approaching something with three zeros. That could be X0X00 or XX000 or even, as in your case XX0000, but it's not so common. I had 162k on my FJR when I sold it. It will be ~660 miles before I reach the next XX000 mark on the current bike. Which, BTW is 68k on a 2012 bike.

We don't have that many people playing the tag game. Many, have over 100k. Sure, we could all opt to go for a good long ride, but at some point it gets excessive. Tags should be things that are universally available. Gee, like Dam Tour tags were...

Things that people can hunt down and get, not things that require the alignment of the stars or odo to get.

It's more that the point of the game is to enjoy a ride TO a location - Not to take a photo of the bike that could be in the garage. The odometer doesn't meet Rules #1 or #2, which state:

1. . . . . Take the tag to a new location, get the photo and post it here.

2 . . . . * Try to place the tags in interesting locations, objects or places that could probably be found in at least the majority of the continent.

Ruins sound like a winner.

Grab!! It hasn't quite fallen in like the original pic but this is a corner store that hasn't been a corner store in probably 70 years!! Lol!

Sorry for the washout....it was extremely sunny today and hot!! Lol!

New Mark.........

In the background here is an honest to goodness horse racing track!! It's pretty dang big and it was hard to try and get the front and back stretch together.....anyway I understand not everyone has a horsetrack in their neck of the woods so if ya'll want to open it up to any type of track that'll be fine by me. Now get going!!

Nice Grab EB. I actually have a horse track locally, but will wait for the next tag unless this sits for a couple of days.

Tag got!

This is the semi-fancy front entrance to Rockingham Park the only thoroughbred horse race track in NH.

And here's a look at the seedy old rear entrance to the track

100_4238.jpg

Now go find an amusement park.

100_4243.jpg

This is the main entrance to Canobie Lake Park, the only full scale amusement park in NH, located not too far from the horse track.

Must have a Ferris Wheel and at least one Roller Coaster to qualify as a "full scale" amusement park.

Don't know if there's an assigned mediator to this "game", but if it were I, I'd have to call "No Tag" on ya, Fred, 'cuz all I see in those pics is a building and a sign to the park....I don't see no track!

Don't wanna steal a tag from ya, but.....

:p

Race Tracks are tough to photograph with your bike. Mostly because if you could see the track from the road, people wouldn't pay to watch the races in some cases.

Rockingham Park has a very distinctive entrance and skyline. Besides, why would anyone try to falsify a tag in a silly photo tag game?

Fred's tag is good. Go find an amusement park! And Howie, riding your bike into the bedroom and taking a pic does NOT count!

Eric,

I have 100% faith that Fred wasn't attempting to "falsify" a tag...he just didn't try hard enough to break in, drive his bike illegally on private property and snap photos....or at least take a couple of spins around it! :D

And...there's NOTHING "amusing" about my bedroom. Just a half dozen computers, a widescreen TV and a huge pile of dirty laundry.

Now, the Old Lady's bedroom? It's just freezing ass cold in there. :(

I did take some other pics through the old rear entrance, but Howie wouldn't have liked those photos either since you are even further from the track back here.

Yeah, in case you were wondering, "The Rock" has seen better financial times.

The next closest horse track is Suffolk Downs in East Boston. That place is a dump too, but the mob has some grand plans to convert that into a casino if they can get it past the Mass legislators.

No big amusement parks around here, but there is an indoor/outdoor place with mini-golf, go cart track, water toys and the usual gamut of inside games/slides. Some kind of Fun Center or such. I'll try to get a pic today since we seem to be stalled out.

Sure. Any amusement park will do. Move that tag!

I did not mean to say that only the "full scale" ones were valid for the tag, I was just explaining wjhat I meant about Canobie, but I can see where it does appear that way.

Well I rode by a one of those go-cart, paintball, kiddie ride, amusement park type places called Frankie's Fun Park but I believe I'm ineligible for making this grab. So somebody needs to get going!! I guess it's probably getting hard for some of ya'll to get out though......

I've been wrapped up on another venture lately. If not grabbed by Friday I only live about 25 minutes from Hersheypark in Hershey, PA. I'll run over and get it then post a new tag. I've got a great idea that's in that same area and would be easy to do.

Okay, grabbing the tag. Hersheypark didn't work out. There was a high school band competition being held on the property and I wasn't going to pay $8.50 in parking just to go get a picture. Instead went to Lancaster, PA to Dutch Wonderland. Front entrance to the park.

New tag, your bike and a whimsical mailbox. This one happens to be my own!
PB100090_zps30a0c662.jpg

Ah, well done, Chuck. I've been wanting someone to get that, and the whimsical mailbox is a great idea -- even if you did just have to ride to the end of the driveway to get it ;) .

Actually Old Guy, I'd been out all day and just wanted to get home so I took the picture before pulling into the garage for the night. I had another idea but I'll hold onto that thought for another time.
