I went out Thursday after work to grab an idea for a new tag...grain elevators are a dime-a-dozen around here, so I wasn't worried about that. Anyway, the new tag idea was only 100 miles away, so why not? Turns out it wasn't there. Oh we'll, next idea. That's what makes this game interesting for me. I participate in the tags that are reasonably close and I always have a goal in mind for my next ride. It gives me some purpose and focus for my daily riding.

Grab - old rusty four wheeled vehicle.

Nice Grab! I was giving myself two weeks (until Wed. the 21st) before sending this in as a grab.

Taken this weekend.

Off to find and old Seagrave.

Keep Going!

According to the Grain Elevator Registry there are exactly zero grain elevators in the six New England States

Thread killer!!
Excuse me but there is more to North America than New England though I doubt anyone in New England knows that.

Yabbut... I'm not about to travel 2 or 3 days to get to a tag for this game, sorry.

The goal of this game is to find semi-ubiquitous things that are available to be found anywhere in North America, not colloquial stuff that one would have to make a bun burner ride to get to. I wouldn't post a picture of a maple sugaring house as that would cutout a huge percentage of the participants. So you want the potential tags to be off-beat, nut still widespread.

FWIW, I did see a grain elevator up in Swanton, VT last week that is, apparently, not on the "Registry", but the game had already moved on, as should we.

Sorry OC, working with slow wi-fi at the house and on an IPad to boot....took me a few to get it working.....hey how come my post count doesn't go up ever....weird.....not really a question just typing out loud....lol. Get going!

Grab on the earth moving equipment. A Caterpillar 631 Scraper. Good Fun!

And this one. Allis-Chalmers HD6G Track Shovel. Possibly used as a bartering item for services received from the occupants of the house....

New Tag will be your bike and any railroad trestle, viaduct and/or bridge.

This is the Wilburton Trestle, ten miles from downtown Seattle measuring 102 feet high and 975 feet long. It is the longest wooden trestle in the PNW. The trestle was originally completed in 1904 and It was subsequently rebuilt four separate times, in 1913, 1924, 1934 (before creosote), and 1943, due to deterioration of the timber.

Posts in some forums, like jokes and fun stuff, don't make your post count increase. Seems some post whores were just posting to increase their number and somebody's panties got in a wad.

Off to look for a trestle... wait, there are no railroads around my hood... Hmmm

That may be a bit harsh.

Personally, I just haven't had time to spend quality time with my bike. Hope to get back to the game in a couple weeks.

Just answering ericboutin's question above. Every forum has it's post whores. Hell, I've even been one on another board!

Grab: Bay Line, Mill Bayou trestle, alongside US 231 NE of Panama City. Blurry because I stepped out onto the highway in a break in traffic.

New tag: Your bike in a designated motorcycle-only parking space:

It was dark when I discovered how bad it was, and I couldn't go back...... Phone pic, too. Run out into the traffic lane, point in the general direction, hit the button icon, run back to the bike. Nowhere near getting killed, but I couldn't see the picture in the daylight. Saw bike, trestle, thought I was good.
