Good find Fred.

SIL coaches girls High School softball team, says it's a tuff job. Not only do you have to teach them how to play the game, you have to show them how to look good doing it.

Old general store, bet I know where I can find one of those.

Every now and again I think about playing along here but I usually talk myself out of it. Today while riding around I found myself going by the last tag so no more excuses.

Saint James General Store, St. James, Long Island. Built 1857. Claims to be the oldest continually operated general store in America.

New tag. (Hope it's worthy.) Your bike by some sort of harbor, fresh or salt. Pic here is of Stony Brook Harbor looking north with an opening out to the Sound.

Nice!! Welcome to the game, Mikey. Good to see you gettin' the Wee out and about.

As for being the "Oldest General Store in a America," It seems that a lot of places like to make that claim. This one, included?

Not that it matters who is right. They are all pretty cool to see, and visit, IMO.

Now where will I ever find a harbor around here?

This game looks kinda fun, so I thought I would add a bit of northwest Indiana flavor to it. Here is the beautiful Michigan City, Indiana harbor on the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan!

New tag. Your bike by some sort of public building that has some sort of famous (or infamous) happening. Here is the Lake County, Indiana county jail that was the site of John Dillinger's breakout in 1934

New tag involves making a local "Ride To Eat". Find a take-out or drive-in stand that specializes in some unique, local delicacy.

In this case it's "The Beach Plum" in North Hampton, directly across the road from the State Beach.

The Beach Plum is re-known for their sumptuous lobster rolls.

Note that for this tag, food Pr0n is a requirement!!

Josie and I went there for lunch today and we split one of their smaller 6 inch, 10 oz size. Yumm!! Yes, it is all that and a bag of chips. ;)

The rolls come much, much bigger if you are feeling flush. They have a foot long w/ 20 oz of lobster meat on the menu for only $42.

Oh, I have a great idea for this! Now it's just a matter of convincing she-that-must-be-obeyed to give me a day off from prepping the house to be put on the market and join me for lunch out on the lake. This could even include a ferry boat ride. Going to be a great weekend weather-wise too!

Grab, a local "Ride To Eat", it is a drive-in stand that specializes in a local delicacy, BURGERS. This place is so good it was featured on the TV show Diners, Drive Inns, and Dives!

Link- has video of food p0rn... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIp0rWRnzME

Thank goodness. Now what took this tag so long to move?

It wasn't that difficult, and I know it was of interest to anyone that likes to eat.

Nice new tag, too. I'll keep an eye on it and see if it moves again soon (which would make me eligible again). It would be sort of cool to do a tag 2000 miles from home. ;)

No wild animal statues huh? Maybe I need to change the tag... I'm going to get a Big Ben.

Oh, snap. I meant to steal this tag a long time ago...

But since the tag is still in play, and it is long past the 2 day waiting period in the rules

I give you, the old tag:

Location was on Elk Vale Road in Rapid City, South Dakota. Just northwest of the Badlands

Your new tag, taken on the same ride...

A cafe that offers dining alfresco. This one bakes all of their own bread and is awesome for breakfast or lunch.

Sorry for the delay in posting. I meant to do it two days after it first went up and then kind'a got side tracked riding across the country.

I went out one day looking for a wild animal statue and could find nothing. I went by sporting good stores, our state game and fish commission, even the Jaguar dealer -- nothing. Glad to see you get it and move it along.

Old tag from the old man.

And here's your new tag.

Find a parochial school. This one is in Goffstown and is closed. Peace be with you.

His old man is the Jr. (hence the III in his new forum name).

And I think he may disagree that me selling him the B4 was such a bad thing...

Been wanting to get in on this thread for a long time and since this is right down the street...

Had to ride a little farther to get the new tag. How about a fire tower? Has that been done?

P9272454.jpg

This one is in Pennyrile State Forest.

That's a nice one.

Hope someone tags it soon so i can play again, I can't.

No fire towers around here it's so flat I can stand on a step ladder and see for miles.

I know of a couple, but just wondering how I can back pack my motorcycle into where they are.... I think I know of one that I can get in the distance, we will see after this working weekend with nasty weather....
