I just came back from the first checkpoint for the Northwest Passage 5 Day Rally in Sunnyside and was a volunteer scorer. Everybody was in good spirits and it seems like #2 and #3 at the SPANK rally are in a similar position on this rally. Mrs. and Mr. Lisa Stevens are tied for first with Brian Roberts on the World's Most Expensive V-Strom.
Seems that the rallyists were divided up into "Experienced" and "Newbie" groups with special packets for each. Seems there was a pretty massive point difference between the two options and ASSuming the experienced packet was more point-rich.......well.....was folly. The smart money was to pick the newbie packe, visit many of the same places, and net more points.
....as I left there was definitely some deep analysis of the second leg's packets.
