Hi all, great ride today. It was shorter than normal and I was able to get back home and finish a few chores (and not feel tired). I pulled the weed that was wound around my rhododendron bush (it was close to 12 feet of roots; soft mulch from all the recent rain helped), and pulled the grass growing in my evergreen bush.

Good to meet you CJ. We were all wondering about you and your son when we lost you. Hey, good man for stopping thinking someone needed help :) . Reminds me of when I was practicing holding my breath in a pool; I kept super still for 90 seconds doing a "dead man's float" -- well a good sumaritan jumped in (clothes and all) to "save" me. Next time I do that, I'll do something to avoid looking like an "emergency" case.

Good to see you too Paul and Gina -- I hope you get a new H4 in there soon and I hope it's easier to change a bulb on your bike than the FJR. I remember "Sena" bluetooth helmet set and have another thing to buy :D

Alan and Helen -- thanks for leading a great ride on a great day. The leaves are just starting to turn but we got enough color to make for one of those rides that make you whisper "Man, it's good to live in NH".

Dennis

Good on ya, Helen, for catching those turkeys on film! Now Aroostook can't call ******** cuz you got da goods! By the time I got past them there were more than one of 'em with both arms raised..... Not too bright on their part, but whatever. Better that they were fine than to have a problem. . . . Woulda been tough getting to them anyway, the feej doesn't swim too good without a snorkel kit! Aha! Just thought of my next farkle!

Sorry Paul, that ride was too long to qualify for a CBA! :p

That's a funny story of your "rescue" Dennis! I can just see it.....

Thanks again to everyone for a great day! Sorry to have missed the Jags and Tony... Breakfast run?!

God I hate missing a ride day! :(

But I knew it was the only option. Funny thing is if I had a cold or was just getting over the flu I would absolutely have made it. But I have an ear thing going on, and couldn’t pass a simple balance test Allen showed me the other week. So it’s a few days of antibiotics and hope it clears up. It just got to my issue level and I hope I don’t have to go to that Doctor of mine. (He bitchs the loudest about my bad habits.)

Got my New front tire ordered today I hope it will be here and on before the CBoNH ride.

So be there or be 4 cornered with equal length sides :p

Dang Tony!

Are you sure it didn't have anything to do with that handle of tequila you hammered down the night before?

Or is "an ear thing" new-speak for "altitude sickness"?

Nope can't hear JACK from my right ear. :blind: I wish tequila was the price to pay! Then again your CBA run next week I could do without ears! :bike:

This is my 0 risk year. Check the bike, Check one's self. A fail on ether point will ground a ride

0 is zero.

Glade to see you back from the southern regions. I have viewed a few pics…. I will ride down next year!

Gina is one Mean Church Lady. Her new handle will now be CL… To me

Poke fun at me and blame it on poor innocent bystanders like Helen.. (Allens sainted wife)

Cj ..

If youre going to go and be a responsible adult every time you bring a kid… youre out!

If you are just coming up to stir the pot your in!

But very good of you to Check on morons in what I see as still waters 3 feet from shore..

This award goes to the man that saved a group when natural selection was in NOT inforced.

Not back yet. :nono: Oh no.

When leaving EOM on Sunday morning, we somehow got turned around and rode south from Kentucky and ended up at some damn place in Tennessee named Tellico Plains. Rode on this road there that they call The Cherry Cola Highway, which was real nice, but nobody was serving any drinks  Then went to another place called Deals Gap but there weren't any card games going on, mostly just a bunch of pirates and hooligans strutting their egos.

So we outta there down route 28, but the damn thing was so crooked and twisty that all those pirate guys from Deals Gap kept clogging things up. Finally we tried to ride up the Blue Ridge Parkway, but after several hours of continuously being stuck behind, and then (illegally) passing them and all the cages we finally got fed up and bailed out of that and headed for the glorious flat slab in Asheville. Ended up in Johnson City, Tennessee last night and in Pennsy tonight (just past Scranton). We have another few hours to get home tomorrow.

But we'll be ready to rock and roll on Saturday

Yeah, we learned the hard way that weekends are not good for riding the BRP. We tried it one Sunday on the way home from Arkansas, and got trapped in a line of cars behind two Corvettes doing at least 10 below the speed limit and crossing the centerline on every curve. What a waste!

It's much more fun on weekdays when the only thing in your way are usually a couple of HD riders who are much easier to get around!

Have a safe ride tomorrow!
