For those with a DVR (has to be the majority of us) and/or an external hard drive attached to the DVR .. which is used for your home TV viewing pleasure.

How many hours of TV viewing do you have recorded .. as of now? "Now" .. being the day you answer this question.

Thanks Guys

Dunno. I try to keep it down to something like 80% free. Depends on the day of the week; Sunday, Monday, and Thurs seem to be high content days (what with the Outdoor Chnl having Lock-and-Load Monday).

I know I have all of last season and the currently-new episodes of Archer and Walking Dead. That's probably 10-20 hours of HD content.

I did have all of Justified for last season but caught up on the last 2 and deleted all the old ones. Up until then that was probably an additional 10 or so hours.

There have been times when it got down to 3% free because of being busy with real stuff.

Mine only holds about 20 hours, and I have about 15 on there. I don't normally have that much saved up but I have been watching the olympics lately and recording other things.

Mine stays @ 95% because my wife watches too many friggin' so-called "Reality Shows"!! AAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!

I'll be glad when MotoGP and MLB starts up again. :)

Hovers around 50% free with having 100 hours of capacity. I have stuff on there that stays there for my viewing pleasure. The Full Harry Potter Series along with the full Star Wars Series being among them. I like to pop those on when ever I feel like it. Other than that, it's just the stuff I record, watch and delete.

Depends if you record in HD or regular def......... HD will eat up free space 10 times faster.......... I try to keep it 80% free, haven't seen the need to add a hard drive. Also try not to watch too much boob tube. Anything I do is mostly recorded so I can scan through all the commercials, cuts viewing time by 30%.

We have two DVRs and between the daughter, grandson, and me working double shifts they are always near full. We recorded all the Olympics and will watch a little bit later.

We refuse to watch live tv with commercials. We wait until we can watch the program and FF through the commercials.

I have no idea how many hours is on it and we never watch all that is on it but we do record our favorite shows.

DVR number one program? Moto GP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have 2 1tb external drives, with maybe 500gb on, mainly kids stuff, for my grand daughter

On our dvr we normally have between 5 and 20 hours.

Dish DVR records all 4 main channels regardless for 3 hours, hence 5 to 20 hours, but we usually clean out the garbage next day.

Has Autoskip of adverts after 24 hours so like Doug we tend to never watch live.

No shit...Auto skip!!?? No one ever offered me auto skip. I despise live TV because I don't wanna see the commercials. Now that I know about auto skip, I feel like I'm abusing my right thumb having to do all that fast forwarding!

+1

It's to the point that, if I start to watch something on live TV, I get so ticked off at all the commercials, I'll record the remaining and wait to watch it until it's done.

Directv DVR; I extracted the OEM hard drive, Installed a 3TB. I've archived more than 100 HD-Movies and shows and it's still says 65% remaining. HS! In a lifetime I will never catch up.
