Mike,

If you're keeping score, I'd like to join you on this ride. Haven't ridden with this group before, and am the relatively new owner of an 04. I'll probably meet at West Sac since I'm just up the hill in Auburn.

My Dad lives in Pt Reyes so I'll probably head south on 1 from Bodega.

Hwy 1 from Tomales to Point Reyes is a fabulous ride, although VERY well patrolled. I raced....er drove it everyday of my Junior and Senior year in High School with my buddies. I was driving a 1961 MG with retread tires ($10 a piece, what can I say?)at that time, but still a thrill.

Strike three. Just remembered the culmination show for our annual fundraiser is that day, and I'm the emcee. Guess it wasn't meant to be. Y'all be careful and have fun, if you can do that simultaneously.
We just seem to keep missing out on ToeCutter's company! TC, Perhaps you should arrange the next ride?

My wife and I are having dinner with friends in Mountain House that day but will join in until lunch at the very least. Will meet with the Sac guys at the Chevron.

I was going to have two packs of oatmeal...enough for energy, but always makes me real ready for lunch when it rolls around...and from what I hear, we want room for lunch!

If you want, you can come to our house and have oatmeal with us

1.) I'm editing the "semi-official list" as you guys post. Just so you know and I don't have to answer every post.

2.) This place serves a "huge" lunch. Family style: Beverages and breadsticks w/ olive oil and ground pepper, minestrone soup, green salad, then the entree of your choice. And, of course, dessert (though I've never had room and have always had entree left-overs).

The last time I was there I ordered the Lasagna. It came on an small oval platter (smaller than a dinner plate) and hung over the edges. The spaghetti is mounded on a dinner plate, even their burgers are huge. Trust me, you'll want to save room for lunch, though we probably will not be there until "one-ish".

There is a Baker's Square off Harbor Blvd., on the South side of I-80, a Burger King @ West Capitol and Harbor (North side of I-80). IIRC, there's a Denny's just under the freeway from the Chevron, off Enterprise. I should be over in West Sacramento tomorrow or at least the early part of next week, and I can look for a diner of some sort if you want. I can always "do breakfast". IIRC, we always "drift in" so fast food seems to work the best.

@The Manager, that'll be an interesting ride from Occidental to Mountain House!

Ah yes, let's have our bikes gassed up before we eat........ That way everyone is on the same page, yes? No miscommunication from me, like last time.

Well I like those instructions. Count me in for the ride, see you at Moskowicks corner.

Mad mike,

I like your agressive approach as being leader of the pack.... :haha:

Yeah, if I leave from home this is easily a 300+ mile day. This could lead to serious bruising of the ribs and reduced nocturnal activities if I don't figure a way to shorten things up a bit. I might stay in the east bay and meet you guys at the 121/128 intersections.

Yeah, Mike makes it really challening to keep up!!!
With a group this size and the roads we're going to ride I am thinking we'll split into 1/3s. I'm assuming you'll want to run with the "hares" rather than the "hounds" or the "tortoises"? :D

So, you're saying you want to ride with the tortoise group? I have an idea of someone to lead the "hares". I dunnah wanna do dat! I'm more likely to be doing the speed limit +5-10mph, so I figure that puts me in one of the other groups.

En I ain't no "Leader uh' the Pack", I'ma jist tryin' ta git the ball arollin' en atryin' ta git ridda dems loose ends! I's bees doins dems racin' en faster ridin' wit jist wunnertwo bikez, kinda like thet last stretch'a 193 we wuz ridin' frum Georgetown. Thet ther wuz kindy fun!
