How are the Mormon strip clubs?
Bad. In fact, odot's been tasked to secure the Chippendales by special request from skooter.

Prolly fully-clothed, serving tea and quoting Scripture!
Er, you've no doubt forgotten your commitment to WFO6, then. Well, we have witnesses and we're holding you to it! ;)

Seriously, this is a great venue at an upscale resort for a killer rate! WC did an excellent job at laying the groundwork for this event and you ain't gonna wanna miss out! We're cooking up some great things for y'all, not the least of which will be some killer ride routes on some of the world's best roads! Maybe even a real kart race that I can dump Iggy and Skoot into the hay bales!

Events will be announced as we finalize them, but I will say this now; once we announce that the rooms are available for reservation, you will not want to hesitate. Although we have a generous block of rooms, once they are gone, they will be gone! Our group has completely booked the balance of this venue and there will be no second chances to get in. Sorry, this joint is that popular so don't loose out as some did last year.

NOTICE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RESERVE A ROOM BEFORE WE RELEASE THEM VIA A SPECIAL EMAILED RESERVATION CODE!!!! You will not get the WFO rate or a room, for that matter. THE HOTEL IS SOLD OUT!!!!

Hold back on all your questions for just a bit, please. All your questions will, no doubt, be answered in due course. So, for now, plan, scheme and contemplate. I will, however, entertain serious suggestions ONLY via PM.

This will be some hellacious fun, peeps! Word. ;)

Are there plans to also have a National gathering in '07?
I am working directly with Yamaha on the FJR National.

At the end of WFO-5 last summer, we immediately started investigating facilities in Colorado to host the first FJR National. An event that large (500-1000 attendees) requires facilities to handle it properly, and you have to work at least a couple years out in order to secure the appropriate-size facilities. There was NO facility large enough to handle us all that wasn't already booked for every weekend in June-Aug, 2007.

Therefore, the FJR National will be held in 2008.

That having been said, we DO have two facilities we are still negotiating with to host the 2008 FJR National; both are in Colorado.

At the same time, I am working with Yamaha USA so that the 2008 FJR National fits in with all their other 2008 commitments (MotoGP, Star Daze, etc). They are already booked solid for 2007; we're still discussing their presence in Utah for WFO-6.

Bottom line: 2007 will be WFO-6, but we will indeed host the inaugural FJR National with Yamaha in 2008, and it WILL BE in Colorado.

Back on topic, please... this thread is discussing WFO-6 in Park City, Utah.... B)

Cool. Thank you for the update. I have to see what happens in the next few months but I am thinking about a nice long ride in '07 so I may be at WFO.

Sweet... I came through lots of the lower part of Utah on the way to WFO-6... and went through the middle on the way home via KC on my BBG... them's some fun riding roads boys and girls... :yahoo: SLC area was a bit on the "warmish" side that time of year, but what the heck.. it's only sweat.

Yes, Utah will be warm in July as one raised in Southern Idaho can attest. :dribble: But that won't be a problem for those of us riding the new improved 2006-2007 models! :p ;)

Hope to make it. Already "mentioned" it to my wife. I am hoping there will be "advanced riding training" available. Of course it wouldn't take much to be "advanced" for me.

Nice looking location/facilities! B)

Park City won't be anywhere near as warm, since it is located at 6,900 feet ....

Do you happen to have any S&T files for in-state SS1K routes?

So we'll be cool while bench racing... although at that altitude... everybody better be wearing plenty of sunscreen... specially the follically challenged among us.

Ding, Ding, Ding! I believe someone has just volunteered to play WFO Ride Captian and Route Planner! Thanks, dog! ;)

Chill, bro. We'll have you covered on those. GZ will post up about those later, I'm sure. Takes a lot of effort to put those together, so stay tuned.

Okie-dokie then, there is a little race track close by: Miller Motorsport Park. Bad news, they are booked with private testing Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, but the good news is that they are open Friday for those looking for some track time. Just be aware that this is an 'open' day, which means you'll be dicing it up with all manners of vehicles. I've been looking into what's what with Miller, so check back in later.

Therefore, the FJR National will be held in 2008.

So, what yer sayin' is; Eve needs a ride to WFO6? :yes2:

As some may be aware, Utah is where the annual Utah 1088 endurance rally is held just a month before WFO-6. Check out Rider Stories and there are often links to other websites or pictures including my 2005 write-up for additonal background. With two years and several laps around Utah under my belt I can attest that there is phenomenal riding in the state. Whether you want to go burn up the desert straights in the west, the twisties of the mountains in and around Park City and up north, be a corruting influence to the local Molly Mo's, or do your impression of the Road Runner in the most breathtaking scenery of Southern Utah....there's more

Park City is higher and cooler than the valley floor and will be much more "alpine" than our Reno experience.

As for liquor rules I can attest that things are much improved in the state since they went after the Winter Olmpics years ago. A few quirks, but it's easy to get one's swerve on with only minor effort.

Park City is a really nice place. I was last there about 3 years ago. Big tourist town!!!!! wifey brought back tons of crap.........bunch of little goofey looking moose figurines......what ever floats your boat....... You guys will have a great time there......green w/envy. Just don't stop and try to make a u-turn on the side of one of those mountains..........trust me on this one :black eye:
