Ahhhhh, Utah. I remember our 6-pac ride.

Way Cool. I was there in 99 for the AHRMA vintage races. there is some great riding in that part of the world.

I have already made my sugestions on routes. From the desert to the Lodgpole pines.

I will help in any way I can. But I think OrangevaleFJR is the one in charge of that.

If called upon, I will be ride captain for a ride or two (whatever that means, does it mean I am in charge?? I HATE being in charge. I Just like to ride, but I am willing to serve)

Here is my delimma. What kind of riding do peeps with FJR's like. I know what I like, I like 7/10th twisties. But my 7/10th is probably less that those with more saddle time on a Feej..

Lemme Know how I can help.

Sweet post Cdogman! Also, a volunteer on the public forum...you're in for some work! :LOL (not that I have anything to do with that).

Utah is a beautiful State. We're lucky to be so close to it. I really look forward to visiting its majestic views, historical locations and mingling with its great people again. The last time I was in Park City it snowed on me :) I look forward to staying there in the summer!

One would assume that the "planners" are already talking with cdogman (and other knowledgable Utah riding veterans) about laying out different dayrides.

Ok.

And now the question:

Is Senor Beeroux going to engineer an absolutely helacious and way fun BBG?

Well ? Hmmmmm???

If'n you see a big, fast, titanium GL1800 with a camper in the complimentary covered parking, that will be me.

Let's see now, a mini national Wing meet in Montrose CO 23-26 and zip on over to Park City for the WFO. Hope you fellas don't mind a Honda in your midst. I just don't feel like riding home to swap bikes.

Don't worry about me and the rig though, we both made it fine over the Dragon this July, along with many other choice roads. Almost ran over a few crotch rockets out there

Hey, of course you and your Wing are welcome. We'll need somewhere to chill our beer!

My 'old' FJR can hold at least two cases, but the Wingobago with trailer is good for a few kegs, I'm sure :) Actually, last year was the first out of 3 WFO's that I didn't drag a trailer behind the FJR. Can't do that anymore though - got rid of the hitch on the FJR.

Might still run back to Denver for the FJR. Have to see how it goes in Montrose. Either way, looking forward to miles of smiles.

Ok.

SS1k and BBG? Oh yes.....

However, it might even be worse than that.....

Consider the possibility of a brutal 24-hour Endurance Rally during WFO-6.....

Hmm...brutal 24 hour endurance rally would include watching a marathon of Barnaby Jones! Let's have fun and go riding instead! :yahoo:

I am SO psyched about this rally -- my first rally of any kind at any time by the way. Never rode with more than 3 other riders at the same time ever. I want to do it all, it will be difficult choosing activities. And to all that are contributing so much (Warchild, nut, and all the rest) a hearty thanks in advance.

I was in SLC four years ago for a (free) drug company sponsored conference, and remember the group bus rides to the salt lake and the open pit copper mine (really interesting and awesome in scale by the way). I saw a Valkyrie parked by the Lake, saw all the great biking roads in the mountains, and drooled wishing I had a motorcycle again. I ended up getting back into biking -- I have very fond memories of Utah.

It looks like an awesome time will be had.

Does that mean I only need a hotel room for 2 nights instead of 3?

Seriously, some of the best scenery and riding I did on the WFO trip this past summer was across southern Utah through the canyon lands. Can't wait to see what the rest of it looks like!

The Copper mine is indeed awesome. They are closing it soon and putting in a new ski resort that goes on both sides of the Mtn there.

Hey, Guys advance parties and peeps staying later. I will be available to help, or drink beer after riding.

I am taking extra days off.

Ops, hold on, I better go mark the calander BRB......... OK.. DOne, Now, I am taking extra days off.

Be kinda like having a bunch of feej pilots coming to my hometown and playing with me...... :yahoo:

I'm in and will combine with BMW's MOA in Wisconsin. Looks like this may end up being another 8k mile adventure! Since it's in Utah, I'll begin looking into a trailer for the FJR so I can haul beer and wine. :drinks:
