2015 SWFOG Lodging:

The El Rey Best Western in Cedar City is the new motel for 2015. May 28-31, 2015.

Identify that you are with the SWFOG for the rates noted below.

Best Western El Rey Inn & Suites

Included with each room: Microwave/fridge, pillow top mattress, deluxe continental breakfast, Outdoor pool, fitness center and WI-FI. All of our rooms are non-smoking and newly renovated as of the end of this month.

Single queen - $64.99 plus tax (no microwave/fridge)

Single queen - $69.99

Single deluxe king - $74.99

Two deluxe queens - $89.99

Two deluxe queens with pullout couch - $99.99

Three queen beds (Family Suite) - $114.99

Stratford Court Hotel.

Included with each room: Microwave/fridge, continental breakfast, outdoor pool and spa and WI-FI.

Single king - $59.99

Single king pool view - $69.99

Two queens - $69.99

Two queens pool view - 79.99

Between the two properties I have space for your entire group. Depending on the room types needed I may be able to house them all at the BW El Rey, it being the nicer of the two hotels with the current renovations.

Note: Room rates are based on selling 20 rooms. Cancel w/o fees 30 days. Cancel later will charge for one day only unless room is sold w/in group.

I know that Blufjr has stepped up and secured lodging in CC for the group and that is much appreciated. For myself and a few other, we have secured a house in Kanab that has a non refundable deposit that we are reluctant to give up (the non refundable part). We agree that hanging with the peeps attending is by far the most important part of the trip. I am waiting for a call tomorrow from Brittany for group rates for the Best Western in Mt Carmel.

The Desk clerk at the Mt. Carmel site said there were approximately 10 or so rooms at $109 a night, but we may get more rooms at a better rate when I talk to Brittany on Sunday 1/11/15

Please note: I AM IN NO WAY trying to cause an uproar or trying to split the group in any way shape or form. Just trying to see if there is a way to hang onto some of my hard earned $$$$$$$ and accommodate the group at the same time.

Checking Google maps puts Grand Canyon at 539 miles RT from Cedar City.
Can be a long day for some who wish to spend some time at the GCNP. I know that Blufjr has stepped up and secured lodging in CC for the group and that is much appreciated. For myself and a few other, we have secured a house in Kanab that has a non refundable deposit that we are reluctant to give up (the non refundable part). We agree that hanging with the peeps attending is by far the most important part of the trip. I am waiting for a call tomorrow from Brittany for group rates for the Best Western in Mt Carmel. This is a shorter route at 404 miles RT to GC

Gregory, I just want to make sure that I am clear on what you have written here. Is the non refundable deposit on the house in Kanab somehow tied in to the Best Western in Mount Carmel? Let me rephrase this, are you looking to move your non refundable deposit to BW Mt. Carmel from the house in Kanab because they are the same property owners? If so, I am following your logic. If not, please give me a call at 480-440-4666 ASAP. When you call me, I will call you right back so the call does not cost you!

Regardless of where people are resting their heads, we will tie all of the Day Group Rides together!

I had my Mormon Friend Dale H. run a check on why we were kicked out of Kanab, Utah. My buddy Dale is the Bishop of the LDS Stake Ward here in Chandler, AZ! jes' sayin' and nuff said!

Someone from this group, we will investigate this further at Cedar City, mailed the color photo of Skooter G and HotRodZilla screwing Miss Dolly the Sheep on the lawn of the BW Kachina Inn Lodge Toas back in 2010 to the Kanab Chamber of Commerce. I have always viewed this pic as good clean and harmless FJR Forum SW-FOG Event Fun.

The pic of Greg, Dolly and AJ locked up in a 3-way sex romp was bad enough, but this same Arsehole also mailed in the photo taken through the suite window of Galaxy Blue and Patch308 "spooning" in one bed while wearing their tighty-whities! Aways thought this image link had been destroyed, have to agree with the Kanab Fathers on this one!

Just got my email confirmation, and I need to make a phone call. They reserved a double room instead of a single room, at a higher rate than the group rate listed. No big deal, and I am sure it will/can be straightened out. But I thought I would give a heads up so people do not get surprised, check your reservation.

Gregory- I do not know you, nor have I met any forum members in person, I have not been to one of these events before. But, in being part of this forum for a while and reading about these types of things, I get the feeling that there is a lot of friendships to be had and a lot of forum friends helping each other out. And I am really looking forward to this event.

So in that spirit, I make the following offer. To keep everyone in the same place, and not knowing how big your non-refundable deposit is, and because of the unforeseen circumstances that rocked our plans forcing us to move to Cedar City, I will pitch in some $ towards your deposit to try and recoup your costs if you need/want to move your group to Cedar City. I am not made of money by any stretch of the means, but if you decide to take me up on my offer PM me.
