Picked the new bike up last saturday and had a blast! First nice spring weather up here, couldn't have asked for a better
weekend for attitude adjustment. After sifting through the jillions of threads about intervals before first oil change, I thought
what the hay, let's just pick a weird number. Looked at the odo and 102 was the winner. I normally change oil in all my vehicles,
I have a shop, tools etc, and you learn a little more about each machine every time.
Could Yamaha have made an oil change any easier!? Geez, wonder if other mfr's might take a cue. The drain bolt wasn't torqued
at the factory by Shaq, it came off reasonably easy. Although next time I'll shoot a little woodstove black paint on the filter, Purolator Yellow looks pretty stupid.
