It's been a while but I've finally had a chance to go through several hundred photos from my tour of the American West and I've put together a short slideshow. I hope you enjoy it. I'm still working on the video but hopefully some extracts will follow shortly.

My American tour

Breath taking! That had to be a fantastic trip. Did you rent a bike or ship yours or what?

Great photos and I am sure the trip was even better. I am just a little jealous as I did not get a trip this year as my riding buddy (brother-in-law) crashed on 7-14 two weeks before we were to leave for a 2k trip around CO. He is still layed up and likely will not ride again. So getting to see your pics and those of others who have made great trips is my treatment for not going. Thanks

thanks for posting great pictures!

I'm not so well traveled but thought I saw Grand Tetons, Monument Valley, Yellowstone and of course Grand Canyon. I'd be interested in your route if you have that to post.

Add to that Crater Lake, Yosemite, Death Valley and Hells Canyon. I also met up with the IBA at their Ride to Eat in Boise

You can find the route here. There were a few variations especially in California and Nevada and I ended up doing 6200 miles over the 22 days and still didn't get to see everything I wanted, I really regret not making a dash for the sea and the poor weather over Beartooth Pass meant I did not get to take a picture of the highest point of my trip to go with the one from Badwater Basin.

Beautiful stuff orestes! YouTube is robbing us of the full impact.PM sent.
Sorry about that, it was all done in a hurry. Eventually they will be posted on one off the hosting sites but this was the first chance I've had to go through some 800 photos since my return and it bought back so many wonderful memories that I just had to share. I also have some on bike video which I will also post onto YouTube so apologies in advance for the poor quality

Great shots. I liked the close ups, real well.

Hope you liked our(your  )little piece of nature.

I love England(lived there 3 years),Great bunch o blokes.Hope the ones you met here,were as well.

Excellent stuff Dave! :clapping:

What a tour it must have been... I'm glad it all went well.

I'll bet you now feel a little cramped back in Blighty

Stef

PS: Only 900 photos? Caught ya goldbricking again...

It was one of those trips where you stop for a photo and then find an even better view around the next corner and I tried to keep moving if I could.

It's not just cramped, but cold and damp and I'm missing the constant 90 degrees that I experienced in the first two weeks.

Nice job, David. It was fun to see those pics at the start and ending, brought back good memories. And Mt. Howard now has snow on top where we were. I just wish Youtube did a better job with the streaming.
