I can just hear the whining over the intercom now: "Are we there yet? I'm tired. I have that knot between my shoulders. Oh, so that is what monkey butt feels like. Everything hurts. I need to pee." I suspect that will last only the first hour though until Colleen tells me to shut up.
Dave, now that was funny.

I might be just a little jealous...enjoy!
You do know Dave, if you used deodorant and changed your Depends more often BeamerReamer, Panman and AuburnFJR would probably have invited you to join them on this Western USA Tour!

A good thread needs FJR pics...

This is the beginning of the Burr Trail outside of Boulder, UT. Pretty much was awesome.

You know a good time is happening when the pix are slow to show....
That's cuz we are still on the road...
Damnit to Hell Carver, stop calling the Specific Northwet Mooks slow; they just can't help it, look at Niehart and George!

Hey, be nice to pops. He's gettin' on, ya know. And George, "George is my friend"

Yeah like that but I certainly will not love him, hug him or pet him or any of the other crazy things the abominable snowman does in that clip.

Yeah that is what came to mind too, but unlike you I wasn't sure how to express the thought on the Forum. I love those old cartoons. One of my favorites is "Sahara Hare", where Yosemite Sam exclaims great Horny Toads, getting footy prints all over my desert and when I say whoa I mean whoa!

You guys are awesome. You took your FJRs down the Burr Road, with freeking trailers. Simple amazing. The paved portion of the Burr Road from Boulder is very scenic. The rest of it is cool too, but I like the section that is paved looking into the slot of the canyon. Looking forward to the ride report.

Don't forget that was 2up, towing a trailer and taking pictures whille moving.

here are a few teaser pictues of the Burr Trail

A few miles into the Burr Trail (West to East or Boulder to Bullfrog)

Panman coming down one of the many washboards of gravel (before the waterfold)

Top of the water fold - this picture does not do it justice for how much elevation you lose in 1 mile of roadway

You can begin to see how steep (but very passable) section of the waterfold is. BeamerReamer & Mrs. in the turn

We are sitting in the corner where BR was in the above photo and capturing Panman coming down behind us.

Group shot just around the corner at the bottom of the waterfold in the shade (L to R - AuburnFJR, Mrs. Auburn FJR, Mrs. BeamerRreamer, BeamerReamer & Panman)

Back on Pavment (there was about 18 miles of gravel in the middle of the Burr Trail)

Approaching the last wash (and most difficult part of the Burr Trail) Usually the washes have concrete in the bottom. This one does not have concrete and has a mud bottom and has a very steep approach to it. It is a few miles from the Bullfrog end and could cause you to turn around if the water is higher of the bottom is not firm enough to ride on.

More to come when we start the Ride report in another thread. And yes I would go either direction on the Burr Trail again 2up towing the trailer. It is very passable. We went through it a week after several rain showers and flash floods went through the area. I think the key is to watch what teh weather is doing and give a few days after a rain event for the washes to be clear. I would start from the Bullfrog end next time just becasue if the above wash is not passable, you don't find out after about 45 miles into the ride and have to turn around.
