I don't think you get the premise of a Pay It Forward. It's not just putting things up for trade. It's offering things up for free with no strings attached other than whoever takes your item offers something else up to the general forum for free, in kind.

So you don't have to need whatever I am offering, just fee that the two items I'm offering a roughly equivelent to your PIF tank bag.

If you are trying to sell, barter or make a direct trade for your items then you need to do that in your own post, not in Pay It Forward.

So is that tank bag a Pay It Forward or not?

Giving my previous PIF item a bump so it doesn't get too lost in the shuffle, and adding another item as well. First is the previously offered Chatterbox open-face noise reducing headset for the GMRS X1 or FRS X2 models. Chatterbox's website recommends this headset for open-face or modular/flip helmets.
Here's a pic;

My new PIF item is a Chatterbox FRS Multi-sport+ helmet communicator. The kit is complete except it would need another headset to talk to your passenger, but it's the cheaper headset from Chatterbox (about $30 on their website, but cheaper elsewhere). The previously offered headset is NOT compatible...or so sayeth Chatterbox. It's voice activated and has an audio input so you can also listen to a stereo music source, such as an MP3 player or radio, and has an input for a remote push-to-talk (PTT) switch which is included. It has an internal battery and comes with an A/C charger. Included are the transceiver unit, charger, one headset, helmet mounting bracket, belt mounting clip, headset extension cable, foam covers for the speakers, adhesive backed velcro pads for mounting the speakers in your helmet, PTT switch & extension cable.

I think this would be a good time for me to jump in here before this gets ugly. I should take the blame here. Blind squirrel did chime in here about a week ago and express his interest in the Chatterbox, saying that he'd post up pics of his PIF item when he got home from work. Well I think about 5 days went by and I never heard any more from him, so I ass-umed that he changed his mind. Hindsight being 20/20, I probably should have dropped him a PM asking if he was still interested, but I didn't. So with a friend bugging me about the Chatterbox, I posted here on the 26th that I was withdrawing that particular PIF item due to lack of interest, and substituted a self locking wheel chock. I then told the friend that the Chatterbox was his if he wanted it.

Fast forward to the present: Apparently, more than a couple of people missed the post where I withdrew the Chatterbox and substituted the wheel chock, because suddenly, I got a bunch of PMs inquiring about if it was still available. So I reckon I woulda/coulda/shoulda PM'd Blind squirrel before doing anything else and avoided this mess. All I can do at this point is apologize to him for not having my thinking cap screwed on tight.

I hope I haven't indellibly sullied the PIF movement. Maybe this thread just needs bumped a little more often so people don't forget about the good stuff still posted. I still have two items up for grabs.

I think that works...especially since Ahchiu tried before to score a Givi lid in this thread and missed it. I never actually used this, because I use Pop-chocks and have no place I need a permanent wheel chock. Somebody gave it to me and it's just been sitiing around the garage. I've seen them in operation though and they seem pretty slick. PM me your shipping info.

Wow, nice one Dave. That chock looks like a really nice item and I see it was snapped up quickly after a picture of it was posted.

Here's a tip for folks when posting up any new PIFs (or anything else for sale on other posts for that matter): Try and stick a picture of the item you are offering in your post! Even if it's just a stock picture nabbed somewhere off the interwebs. It makes it very obvious that something is being offered and what it is. Worth 1000 words, and all that.

Now, carry on!! This is getting fun to watch...

OK, here's another item: Eve's original Shoei RF-1000, medium size and in liquid silver color ('03 match). In pretty good shape, except for the shield, which I previously gave away to a rider in need. Worn sparingly, so it's pretty clean inside. Only sat down roughly once, resulting in a couple of scratches, after she took it off to dial 911 for my unconscious state during the bee incident.
