Makin' Some Noise
Following the PDX/Vancouver Area FJR Owners Holiday get-together this past Satruday, I've been thinking about putting together a couple of other activities for late winter and early spring that may or may not be of interest. These ideas are highlighted below:
1) Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR Course (Adult) (February or March): If we can get enough people interested (I'll have minimum headcount numbers ASAP), I can work with the American Red Cross Oregon Trail Chapter to set up a special course just for our group. [This suggestion is very self-serving in that I want everyone I ride with to be able to save my *** when I crash... ] Look, if for no other reason, this stuff is always good to know!
2) Spring Skills Tune-Up with Team Oregon Motorcycle Training (March or April): Again, if we can get the interest, I'm quite certain we can get a group-only 1-day course organized (I had in mind their IRT: Intermediate Rider Training course). For those of us that don't or won't get much saddle time this winter, something like this is a nice way to warm-up those cornering, breaking and swerving skills in a controlled environment before the real riding season begins.
I'm looking for feedback, comments, suggestions, etc. Thanks!
Marty
