My work schedule has changed. I won't be able to leave Roseburg until Friday morning, and I don't think I can ride fast enough to catch up to you guys. I was really looking forward to the ride, but I'll see you all there.

Ride safely,

John

I don't know about the rest of the peak to peak gang but I had a super time. Every day was a knew adventure and a little different than the day before. Words cannot describe the places we saw. Lassen and Mt. Shasta the first day, Crater lake and Mt. Hood the second day and Mt Saint Helens and Mt Rainear on day three.

I would like to thank the group for the great time I had. All of you were great and made the trip even better.

Special thanks to the PNW guys (FJR EH and FJR Roamer) for leading us around on day three. I can't even find those roads on the map. I had alot of fun chasing you guys up and down Mt ST Helens and Mt Raineer.

Special thanks to Roger W for being a great room mate on the way up and while attending the WFO.

A super special thanks to MM2 for putting this group together, leading the way, being a great room mate while attending WFO and for being the Dad for the whole trip up and back.

Like MM2 said "What a trip"

I can't wait for the next one.

I don't know how to post stoopid pix! Nobody has a step-by-step primer on how to do it and I am not computer savvy. Besides, we were to busy riding to stop and take pictures. :p

Once I get the pictures downloaded, Blustreek will "walk" me through the methodology of posting pictures.

In the meantime, check out "FJR-eh's" pictures on FJRowners.

Post your pix here, then link to them using the IMG button above. The photo URLs are right under the thumbnails in your photo page. Simple enough for me to figure out, and that's sayin' sumpin :dribble:

Jeez Mike, just get some of them little black corner thingies, put one on each corner of the picture, and stick it on the page. Let's get it ON!

No, we all know who got the LOOKS. Yesterday she remarked during one newscast "Wow, the space shuttle looks just like an airplane". That's my little woman, gotta love 'er. She's not much on current events of the last twenty years or so. The only thing Bren will probably ever post for me will be my obituary, which I hope doesn't happen either.

She doesn't frequent the board, does she? You may be reading your obit early if she does! :D

Now THAT would be an accomplishment. However, with 3 near-death experiences already under my belt (not counting last week's little episode at the allergy clinic) I'm beginning to believe anything's possible. :skull:

That was a most enjoyable day for me as well! I was on the road at 6:00am and got home at 9:00 pm, (a 15 hr. day and I was tired!). Then I reflected that the "gang" was on day three, had some holdups/ breakdowns/ extended verbal endeavors and suffered under the watchful gaze of the trip's "designated dad." :detect: :haha:

Some Washingtonians have suggested my pace is, perhaps, too brisk (at times)??? but these guys loved it!!! A special bonus was a near 1 hour spcl. suspension "test area" gaurenteed to get you thinking about spring rates, and damping set-ups with a few unanticipated vertical departures of tires from tarmac!!!! (down into Steven's Canyon and up over Cayuse Pass) I think I even had the GPS's confused  . I'd ride w/ any of these folks again and the bottom line...., I never heard any one of that group complain once about the route, pace or length of that day. All class folks and another "tip of the hat" to MM2 for putting it all together. Being around guys like that make m/c-ling all the more rewarding and enjoyable!

'Till next ride......., Roamer

It looks like I will have to down size a bit.

MM2 - Thanks much for putting together this awesome ride. Thanks also to Dave for riding shepard. There were several Iron Butts on the ride and my hat is off to them. I did a 720 mile day riding home. I'm putting in for a Candy *** license plate frame.

Here are some of the pix I took.

Thanks for dropping my favorite line of the ride.

An old guy at McDonalds was looking at our group of 9 FJRs and commented, "Compared to a Harley those things are nothing but bicycles" ...

"Those bicycles have 145 horsepower." ...

Old guy, "Each!?"

Waiting for the Townsend Ferry. Thanks to whoever told me that motorcycles get priority. It saved me a two hour wait. Four FJR got off this ferry (Friday morning).
