@TWN, "Stud?" Oh, like Mr. Ed?!? :bleh:

Besides, I have daughters older than she. Cory was cute and full of lots of edumacational information about Mt. St. Helens (and she was excited to meet some CA tourists). Of course, you "old guys" would have chosen the safer West side of the mountain and missed out! :haha:

Bluestreek, those are great photos. We had a great time on the Peak to Peak ride. It almost makes me feel sorry for those who couldn't come with us...no, really......almost. FJR_eh led us from Hood River up those wonderful back roads, then down to where we met FJRoamer. After lunch, more terrific riding and viewing. Then Mark and Marcie (FJR_eh's) led the ride to Mt. Baker on Saturday, where the rest of the group got to see how s-m-o-o-t-h the Highlanders ride (Sorry, Dave. I could have resisted, but didn't.). Then on to the motorcycle exhibit at the musem.

WFO-4 and the Peak-to-Peak ride with "the gang". Wow! Life is good....

I forgot to post a picture of our Happy Birthday friend in Auburn.

Be careful what you say to this woman.... :notme:

She really wanted an FJR ride, but everyone was too hot to hit the road.

Not a photo pro, but check out my pics from the MM2 Peak to Peak Ride. To all that rode it, I had a blast and made some really neat new friends. I hope to ride with you folks again. Remember, we were NEVER LOST, ONLY DISORIENTED!!

On this web page at upper right check NEWEST and look for

WFO 4.

Thanks...for the memories. What a great group of people, our intrepid band of voyagers were (and still are, for that matter.). Some had to leave, others joined in, but the whole experience was a great joy and a precursor to the WFO at large.

You do meet the nicest people on an FJR! :D

Guys And Gals

I left the motel at 4am got out of the gas station at 4:30 am an stopped in Canyon

land for lunch then on the road again, I got into to Westly where I 5 makes the big left turn and the rest stop is there Westly is 4 miles south of the rest stop. Wanted to make it all the way but the heat coming through the Valley was bad, 16 1/2 hrs for over 1k's not bad no paper work though. Great time at the rally though and the ride up. Bet Cristy takes the rigfht jacket from now on :haha: she'll have a cool vest as well.

MadMike2,

Thanks for hooking me up with your group in Hood River ! It was great putting faces to names and finding everyone a real hoot to interact with even when the chips were momentarily down.

The St. Helen ride was much more fun with the group than running it ( twice, after getting goat trailed on the Trout Lake run !) and Ranier solo the day before.

It remains one of the high points of my trip west.

On the 5 days back Escape and I took in Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore and overnighted at Sturgis to take part in the motorcycle manufacturer demo rides the following day. Only Sturgis stands out as much as the St.Helen ride thanks to your fine group ( and mine now too, I hope ) of friends.

Hope to see you all in Reno next year, or maybe sooner on the way in again, eh ! -Ross
