Brakes only - HyperLites on.

Brakes and left turn on.

Note that each pair of the yellow turn LEDs is set to a different angle.

This makes one pair shine directly at you from over a 60 degree span.

The middle pair are aimed in this pic.

Here's a pic with a bit of fill-flash so you can see the bag reflectors and my messy garage too.

I'll try to add some daylight pics tomorrow for more detail.

Wow, very cool Jeff! I like this VERY much!!!

Just curious. I have seen this a lot where the license plate is either covered or blurred out. Why is this?

OH BTW, nice lights :coolsmiley02: .

Folks don't like their plates so easily read online fearing someone with ill-intents might do something untoward.

Er... that sounds pretentious and yuppie, doesn't it? How about this... People don't want ******** reading their plates.

:)

Ok, just curious. Do they also cover them while they are going down the road so no one will see or maybe only when they stop in a parking lot to go into a store  . Sounds like a good idea to me   . Oh I'm sorry. Like I said, just curious    .

Post your license plate on the web and >2 billion people have essentially free access to your plate number. The only time someone really has a chance to see my plate # is when I'm at at traffic light or parked. The majority of the people that see my plates are from the US or the occasional Canadian. With your plate # on line who knows. Ever heard of scams coming from Africa? :worriedsmiley: Wanna give them free access to your plate #? :uhoh: What JeffAshe did was simple and may prevent casual abuse. BTW JeffAshe, with a bit of contrast enhancement I can tell you what your plate # is even after the tape job :p I usually photochop my plate number, cheap insurance.

Even more info can be had from their IP address, attached to every post. My license plate is open for the public to see every time I drive down the road.

The lights are cool, the reflective bags are hiddious.

Where do you put the Rain-X washer fluid in the FJR?

That Honda spray polish is awsome stuff.

Personally I couldn't careless who view's my plate. What are they going to do? Trace you back to your joint? yeah and then what? Spy on you? ohhhh! If someone wanted to be malicious or just being a fuckstick looking for trouble they will do it no matter what you try and hide/do etc IMHO. By the way nice light setup!

Hey, thanks for pointing that out to everybody!!!

I know I should run the pics through PhotoShop first, but I barely had time to make the pics and post. So in an effort to put the good of the Feej forum above my own personal needs...

One good thing, a secret service buddy of mine taught me something that has stuck with me, "most criminals are stupid AND lazy". So if they take the time to tweak my pics in order to gain my license plate number, well I guess that's better than me freely giving it up!

So, did anybody notice the lights??? Whatcha think?

:)

"Truly Sorry" for turning your thread around. It started out being a simple question and escalated from there :sorry: .

Back to the lights. They do look great and it is easy to see that there was a lot of thought and effort in the job. Thanks for sharing.

I, too, would like to know what is the danger with showing license plates. I thought that except for cops, it costs something like $15 to get plate info from the DMV. One only needs to go outside to get all the plate numbers he could want.

Seriously, I have known a couple of guys who try to hide their plate numbers in photos, and have never understood why? If I'm missing something here I would really like to be clued in.

Thanks,

Charlie

Paranoia I guess !!

Peeps are worried scumbags will get their DMV info, watch their house till they leave , then steal their ride.
