I'm sorry I hadn't read this thread before my Hooterville/AR trip last weekend. This place is in the middle of prime riding area of Arkansas. The Oark General Store.
Yea, I'm not sure there's a better pie destination for motorcyclists out there. Great atmosphere, food is good, service is great, and it's smack dab in some of the best motorcycling in the US.I'm sorry I hadn't read this thread before my Hooterville/AR trip last weekend.
Hot blueberry pie ala mode. HUGE piece and giant scoop of ice cream.
I don't even know how I paid for it. it doesn't matter. :yahoo:
(and there are one or two roads to ride around there as well.)

I'm probably going to get smacked down on that last statement but I'll back it up a bit. I've ridden a lot of places, and while Colorado is beautiful and all, for pure riding, I'd rather ride in Arkansas. In Colorado I get all tied up in what there is to see as well as puckering up over the price of failure there. Arkansas doesn't have much to see, and if you fail then you have trees to worry about but not the thousand foot cliff. The roads are every bit, if not more, twisty and fun. The traffic is less and the pavement is great.
All that puts Oark right up there for me.
And an opportunity to legally marry your First Cousin (or your Sister if you are in Crawford County!)?...and where else can you get 'possum pie?All that puts Oark right up there for me.(and there are one or two roads to ride around there as well.)
