Ok, here you go...I did have this available online, not from my lists above.

This place is in the middle of prime riding area of Arkansas. The Oark General Store.

And here's their signature dish, the buttermilk pie. This day, I got the last slice.

And lookee, an FJR parked out front. This was the FJR I chased through the back roads of Arkansas this very day that made me realize what a sporting bike it really was and tipped my decision to get one.

Ok Julian pie heads. I see none of you have tried the Apple Alley Bakery. It across the street from Mom's Pie House. It's at 2122 Main Street. I like it better than the others. I don't have any photos though. Give it a try!!

Rick

Starbuck, Wa good enough for the pie fart to leave me outside wondering what he was up to. And I won't tell you what I thought he was doing.

Kevin, my best guess is that Niehart is either farting or peeing into his Depends; he does have that real sneaky look on his face, doesn't he!?!?!

https://www.pietowncouncil.com/pie_festival/index.html Wanted to let everyone know that the Pie Town, New Mexico Pie Festival is the second Saturday of September each/every year, if there's enough interest I'll make it an FJR Forum ride to eat event. I will invite Niehart to fly down from Rain Town and borrow my Miss Lucy Liu FJR so he can attend this event as the FJR Forum PieMaster of Ceremonies!

Holy Crap !!!

My mother attended Oark High School - and her family shopped at the Oark General Store when she was growing up. Isn't the old post office across the street?

I was back there visiting after the 2008 Spank - but was in a cage with my Aunt and Uncle. They currently live in Clarksville.

I did NOT expect to see a pic of the Oark General Store in this thread - small world !!

The best slice of old fashioned apple pie I’ve consumed, and you folks know I have consumed a lot of them, was at Boggan’s Oasis.

Boggan’s is at the bottom end of the Rattlesnake Grade [Hwy 129 south of Anatone, WA] on the Grande Ronde River.

That apple pie was a classic, from the scrumptious filling to the flaky pastry crust. It was homemade goodness at its very best. :clapping:

PS: Hudson, that was the best Huckleberry pie ever!

PSS: Yes I do have a Pie Town tee shirt that I wear proudly, thanks Dave!

PSSS: Damn, I would love to go on one of those Texas pie runs.

PSSSS: OM, Taffy's was way to salty ...

I missed the window of opportunity on this one this year, as she's only open between Memorial Day and Labor day. The American Gothic House in Eldon, IA (Yes it's a real house, and yes, it's still there),

the lady who rents the house sells pies. Stand is open weekends only. Learn more HERE.

It's on my list for Memorial Day weekend next year. Maybe I can convince the wife to take one of her pie classes first.

Not sure how you could be surprised. It's right in the middle of the motorcycle mecca of this area of the country and the Oark General Store is almost like the Rock Store in California. If you are on a motorcycle in the area, you have to plan a meal there it seems. And they have an amazing selection of pie, even if they are out of the buttermilk pie.

Seriously, that place is surrounded by amazing motorcycle roads.

Of course, I wasn't aware Oark was big enough to have their own high school! You sure it wasn't one of those old time schools with grades 1-12 all in the same room! :D

Mollie's Cafe, Snowville Utah

Without a doubt, Mollie's has the best blueberry pie on the planet. Pecan is good too, but the blueberry is king. You'd almost never stop at this place just off the I84 to Salt Lake City, but you'd be missing something special. Made fresh daily by Mollie herself, a 60 year old spitfire of a woman.

Ok, so since you didn't like my list it looks like I'm going to have to start hitting some of the ones on the list again for pictures. Happens that Dinosaur World is right near Hico Tx. My 3 year old son has been begging to go so naturally we had to stop by the Koffee Kup in Hico.

What you see from the road as you pull up.

And what the front of the place looks like.

You can't just have pie though. Chicken fried chicken and amazing onion rings.

The pie selection...and yes, Pie does fix everything.

My selection. Hot apple pie, no a la mode sadly though. Still amazing regardless.
