Some guy told me the other day that he missed a deadline on a part I needed because the delivery date 'must have been in his blind spot'.  I've never felt such confusion, anger and nausea at the same time before.  I had to walk away before I did something I would later regret and perhaps cost me a job that I really like as well.  But I did tell his boss that joe dogsqueeze would have a very enlarged blind spot soon if he continued practicing that kind of dialog when attempting to rationalize his incompetance. what a frickin bozo.  Hope you guys don't mind me sharing that with you!!  (sorry YT)

Oh Ya, as long as you guys brought up corporate stuff, using the term "product" when speaking of a product, like product was the name of the product. So instead of " we sell four hundred million pounds of cheeze doodles per year" they say we sell four hundred million pounds of product per year". I hear that all of the time on the how things are made shows my kids love to watch.

And as for ferocious, I think we should start using that word all of the time. Especially when you hear someone use the term fierce. Look at them and say, "don't you mean ferocious" with "you moron" tacked on the end for good measure.

Like, 'orientated' and 'irregardless'. Like finger nails on a chalkboard! The sad thing is, they are used so frequently that they have added these to most spell checkers, too!

The word "anyway" is a polite hint to others in the room to completely discount and ignore the previous speaker's comments. Hate it.

Um, Er, "Akimbo" means standing with your hands on your hips..."She faced him, arms akimbo..." "Askew" is what you want--though I've always liked "Ass over tea-kettle" --earthy and nursery school at the same time.

I don't know why, but I first noticed "plethora" being overused and showing up everywhere. Then "whatnot". For some reason, "whatnot" really makes me grind my teeth. I like it when new catchphrases and slang start being used in advertising. (Like when McDonalds started using Micky D's) Then you know that

word or phrase is over.
