Congrats on the bike Don. It'll make a mighty fine addition to your *stable* of toys! ;)

Many Thanks, Gorgeous George! Are you going to NAFO/CFR 2012 in Castlegar, BC? Gisele, Seth and Papa Chuy will be there. Do you want to ride to Alaska with us?

Don -- For CFR 2012 I'll definitely be making the trip! Heck...it's right in the back yard, so to speak. I doubt a trek to Alaska is in the cards next year. Might be interested in going part way though. With the trip that Panman and I just returned from, I WILL be going further north at some point in the near future!

A closer side shot view of Gisele. Thanks for the Warm Wishes, Guys! This Old Man (62) is really excited about his newest Beemer, got my first BMW in March of 1969 and nothing beats the thrill of a new bike! I already have 36K miles worth of adventures planned for Gisele, her warranty will be used up in a year. SW-FOG 2011 this September; Alamos, Mexico for my 63rd Birthday October 28; Returning to Acapulco, Mexico next April-first rode there on my way to Guatemala on a BMW R80RT 25 years ago; and then NAFO/CFR 2012 in Castlegar, BC and then off to Alaska with my teenage Son Seth. Hombres, I love being retired and riding every damn day!!!

Mega congrats, Big Daddy :yahoo:

I can feel the joy that's beaming from your face all the way from here.

Best of luck with her and on all those exciting trips that you have planned.

(You sure do know how to spend a retirement.)

Well, at last a bike that suits Papa perfectly!! Miss Lucy will be jealous!! I am sure you will enjoy all those rides you have planned. And lots of luck trying to decide what to cull from the herd in the stable. Maybe Bust has some ideas, he's a herding "stable" kind of guy.....

Nice looking bike, Don! :yahoo:

Now, are ya gonna go out and actually learn how to ride the damn thing??

:finger:

:p

Brother BikerGeek99, I figure if Fairlaner can ride a big, fat and ugly Hondapotamus, that I should have no problems at all piloting svelte and beautiful Gisele!

Besides, Andy: "This One" here is my FJR Hero and Motorcycling Inspiration!

Now just how the hell did I get dragged into a conversation about a scrawny "I need a meal and some 'fat food" homely German.. You can see I'm one damn fine looking bastage and would never lower myself to her substandard requirements..

Yer sick, Don. I mean -- Bustanut??? Yer FJR hero, while he'd rather ride a nice homely sheep than Giselle?

And you, sir have the moto sickness. No -- not the sheep clap if'n you ain't been rollin in the hay with Bust, but be-damn -- how many f'ing bikes do you have room for down there in Hell, AZ??

Nice looking mortgage cycle! I'm thinking that with that expenditure, you ought to be back in the good graces of Hans and Dieter. ;)

Es richtig, Herr Rich! Hans und Dieter are going to award me the "Friends of the BMW Marque" medal, I just have to get to Berlin to pick it up. Will do so in July, 2013.

Errrr. . .

I thought this bike was supposed to be "damaged" from falling over.

Do I need stronger glasses?
The damage was truly minimal. The right hand grip was damaged by Star Island Motorsports in Prescott Valley, by their being a bunch of *********. The original owner laid it on the left side.

I see the grip is still not fixed. WTF? I thought they said they had the parts and were going to fix it?
