WOW, I guess it pays to check out the whole board for posts...
Or, one could just click on the "View New Posts" link in the upper right area just under the banner on every forum page. It'll show every bit of activity since your last visit, even if it was nine days ago.

It never ceases to amaze me how people have such a hard time navigating this forum. It has to be some of the very best forum software out there, yet....
Toe, I don't usually have any problems navigating this board at all even though I'm computer illiterate. I'm just usually in a hurry and don't have the time I need to check out "new" posts and ususally just looking for one certain item of particular interest. You could always start a new post over in the "technical" section. Now if we could get back to the subject of this thread, and that is the well being of our brother, Mike.....PM. <><

Heal up fast Mike. God's not ready for you yet!

+1,000,000 on full-face helmets. I have a good friend that would have been dead if he wasn't wearing his Arai Corsair when he wrecked. I know I wouldn't have walked away from my last wreck without the Arai I had on (I had a big gash in the right-side temple).

No worries about Mikey... The cute 30 something nurse is all sweet on him! It's sooooooooo cute! :p

Mike is in pretty good spirits except for knowing that he has to eat another hospital meal or two. I was expecting to see, well, not what I saw. Mike looks and sounds great and if not for the neck brace and small cut on his brow, you might not know how serious an accident he just went through. I think he's gonna surprise all with a speedy recovery.

:good:

I don't claim to know Mike at all - I've only met him once, at WFO-5.

But the impression he made in that time is one of those one-word summaries that just kind of sticks. For Mike, that word was SAFETY. He impressed me with the serious and deliberate way he considered the risks of riding a motorcycle. This was evident both in the advice he gave for pre-ride planning, and in his never being seen w/o ATGATT. That Mike was just involved in a serious get-off should give every rider pause. I, for one, am sure that Mike was thinking a lot about safety before and during this ride. That Mike is one who spends a lot of time thinking about avoiding get-offs yet still wears ATGATT also provides a lesson. Those who were there say that gear saved his bacon. Thanks for the lesson, hard taught though it was, Mike.

Heal well.

...spent a grand day riding with MM2 through Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier Natl. Pk. on the groups way up to WFO in N.W. Washington. There's a guy who would stop and go out of his way for anybody. His occasional "grumpiness" is a coverup for a big heart!!!

we're all mortal and these situations remind us now and again.... from the tail end of a poem I recently wrote:

time's but a gift, not ours to keep.

where words flow shallow, Grace runs deep!

The best of recovery time to you, Mike, sir and..... brother ;)

It sure is nice to here that MM2 is healing up quite well and he will be home in his own surroundings and enjoying life again. From what everyone has written about MM2 he seems to be on rough person on the out side but a softy on the inside.

That being the case, maybe MM2 needs to have a name change from MM2 because he is so soft and gentle inside to something like " The Marshmello Man". this way he can be rough on the out side and soft on the inside.

Because is is a big ole soft teddy bear Get well MM2 and do not laugh to hard and remember time is on your side.. :)

Just talked to Mike on the phone. He has been moved to room 256. He said he overdid it a little today and that they removed some fluid from his lungs. He is improving and tentatively plans on going home on Friday or Saturday????

I'm going to stop by the hospital after work tonight...So I should see him Friday morning when they open....Doh, which day is it? I hate working nights.

He's obviously the beneficiary your prayers and is healing. :yahoo:

Well, Mike is going home today, Friday. I just saw him a little while ago and he is going home this afternoon.

He is looking better every time I see him. He is still very sore and has a neck brace to wear for the next 3 weeks. Seems his radiator (lungs) were a little full and they removed 3/4 gal of fluid from his lungs. So, he's good to go.

He said he won't be able to get on the computer for a week, so don't Email him as he can't respond. You know what he's like when he's "mad", so I for one won't Email him. I want to live. :eek:k:

He's also now officially a member of the "Over 60" club and I told him we, in the club, were not allowed to crash anymore. Our insurance goes up from here on out.

I left him in the capable hands of his mom. He was reading copies of all the posts wishing him well and he is, I'm sure, thankful for all the prayer and well wishes.

Mike spent his B-Day in the hospital?!?!? That's not the way to do it, but I suppose that being alive due to smart gear choices is some kind of gift. Glad to hear he's out of the hospital! Heal up quickly now, Mike!
