Just a side note, a ex-coworker of mine, who has a habit of buying cheap used bikes now has in his possession a genuine KZ1300. Sweet jebuzz is that thing heavy!

Just ran it until the fans cycled and checked the double charging systems. All is good there. One minor oil weep but it's an easy fix. The six into one exhaust is sweet music.

..and I heard it run! As soon as OT ends I'll head off to DMV to get her registered then insured so Ray can test ride it without getting Poh-Po attention! Woot!

'Bout eFfing Time?
Up yours Howie. I tore down and built a whole six cylinder motorcycle in less time than you took to just change an engine. Fairlaner,Carver and I did that in a weekend and entertained a crowd at the same time

Honest-to-God, Ray, I meant that as a *** to Nuke-nutz Carver. I blame him for this never-ending saga.

You're simply a pawn in that crazy fellah's plans.

I know that but I try to never miss an opportunity to be caustic.

Carver started taking it apart in 94. I'm lucky to have found enough pieces. All in all Mr. nuke-nutz is good folks.

After the KZ is home we start on a /2 beemer and I have a 441 Victor waiting in the wings.

This thread turns 3-years old on November 17. So does this qualify as a Zombie thread yet?

FWIW, that was nearly a year before we ever knew there would be a Gen III FJR and before the first Rueben Run!. We should have a birthday party and drink ourselves silly.l
