Sorry Howie, I know you don't want to accept this, but times are tough and this is our way of helping out a friend. Man up and accept it in the spirit it's being offered.

I've been struggling with the desire to help Howie some way, but unable to come up with anything other than this that would do real good for getting him back on the FJR. In PM, he said he didn't want this, but SkooterG is the kind of guy that will totally disregard your desires to do something you need anyway.

If you need it, I can ship my 90k head to you Howie. It's not worth anything to me sitting on the motor with the bad rings. It's undamaged, but has wear and would benefit from new guides, etc. Cheaper to score a used motor, preferably off the forum.

So, Who's got a crashed bike they bought back and could use some cash for their motor?

I'm going to offer one of each of these for auction to the highest bidder.. The fjr Plaques are 8x10, personalized with your name or moniker, Sorry webby you were all I had for a sample hope ya don't mind.. The Deer is 10x12, again personalized..

I figure August 25th of this year should be long enough to draw a few bids..

long story short, first had a crap attack to his tank and fuel pump...then his Cam Chain Tensioner went south with broken spring causing his Cam Chain to jump the sprocket and pistons to kiss valves fubar-in' the engine head
