C'mon folks, we're not all talk are we? That number should be near $600 when the people that said they were in send funds. As for those on the fence, give up a latte or pack of cigs to help out a fellow FJR rider in need. I know times are hard, but that's sort of the point here. Even when things are tight, if we can help each other out, life will be better for us all.

Few, if any, of us would ask for something like this. Call it being proud or just feeling like we should handle our own problems. Thing is, this is happening in spite of that. The general desire to see someone back on the road enjoying as much of life as they can in these crappy times should prevail. Howie didn't ask, but we're gonna give anyway. That's just how this forum is.

Done and done!

Er...Howie... :bleh:

Are yuh EM-barrassed? :yahoo:

BTDT, when I was down (literally) and out (literally) many from this forum contributed to getting my gear repaired, etc. This is an amazing place full of wonderful people.

Sheesh, I'm in for $25 and I don't even like the guy :)

Git-r-dun.

Oh and Howie, bite me. :)

Waiting for next pay day then I too will contribute. (end of month, keep this thread alive till them, boys)

I am ******* speechless.
Was that the plan? :****:
Plan? We don't need no stinking plan!

How about you take the money and shop for a replacement motor or a rebuild place, depending on what works best for you, and the funds available?

We just want you back on the road so you don't become a post whore.

;)

Joe2L ~ You Have Mail!

Thanks for stepping up and handling this.

You are a gentleman and scholar (and damn fine machinist to boot).

Anyone who doesn't know the efforts this man has put forth for the good of the members here should take a look at the fantastic deal he offered all of us on his special wrench for the bearing nut adjustment. You can trust him completely to do as he says...

So come on, join in and send a few bucks to help out our RadioHowie. It will be money well spent!

Don

I'm too close to Fla-kiddara that a pissed off Howie might come visit me and beat me up...

here's another $50

speechless ??? ... that's a first

and Bust...I'm still looking to get a RUBBER plaque from you at some point...the wood ones are nice, but not my cup of tea.

<ah Steve, just feel the luv>

Cheers,

Mike

I have been trying to follow this thread but it's been going a bit too fast to keep up. :) I don't know what your time line on this is but I just found out I am buying my bike back for $900. I have no idea what kind of shape it's really in, I do know the oil pan was damaged and it was leaking oil. The built in kill switch should have killed the motor before the puncture occurred so the motor should be fine.

Anyways, if the damage to the bike is excessive (ie frame, etc.) the head is Howie's, that was the plan all along. Problem is given my condition and the way this is progressing I can't say when I will know. If you don't want to wait put me in for $100.

Dear Joe, My $50 is sent and thank you very much for taking point on this project; and getting our friend RadioHowie's Bike Restoration fund up and running. You are a Good One and this effort is indeed appreciated by the FJR Forum Membership!

RadioHowie: I'm donating because you're the King of the Asshats. If you were to leave, it's my personal fear that Bustanut joker would try and steal your throne; and proclaim himself Asshats King. Long Live the True King of Asshats: RadioHowie!!!
