Both bikes are in my garage in various states of disablement for maintenance. Since I'm leaving Saturday morning for NAFO, I'd better get crackin' on buttoning up the FJR, eh?
ahhh trailer it in..and finish at NAFO HQ?

uhhhh. Nope.

Better get crackin' chop-chop :clapping:

My FJR is always with me. I even ride it to Bicycle rally's with the bike strapped across the back and the wheels strapped on top of the frame. New 07 Silverado sits in the drive and I think it's stuck to the concrete since it hasn't moved in 6 months or so.

Ride her every day. Can't say "rain or shine" since we haven't had any rain for about 5 months! Commute is about 15 miles one way, about 43-45 mpg. Just wish the commute was longer. Guess it could be, but I'd be REALLY late for work. Boss would look something like :angry2: I'd probably look something like :dribble:

I ride everyday rain or shine.
Gunny!

Although it's pretty easy for me to say that since I don't have a car/truck.
Same here, and good god in heaven IT'S ABSOLUTELY POURING outside right now. Which is a good thing as this is the only way it gets washed.

People say "isn't the weather too bad to ride?" and I reply "What?!? When did it start snowing in Florida?"

My fjr baby is outside my office window... shining in the sun. I ride her almost any day I can. Especially since I'm averaging 50mpg and my 4Runner only gets 21. I love this bike. So much fun to ride!!

Isn't Ride to Work Day everyday unless there's two feet of snow on the roads? :)

I actually rode my FJR in to work AND to a client meeting first thing! They have a consultant in from someplace. He says he has 6 Hardlys and his "baby", a FatBoy, with an aftermarket pipe and less restrictive airbox makes a whopping 165 hp. Says it was dyno'ed. Says it's supercharged (it's not). Says his wife's unmodified 1200cc Sportster makes 105 hp.

Now I've only been riding only a little while. Not too long--32 years. I've been reading all kinds of MC mags in those years. I've never heard of a normally aspirated FatBody that's only mildly mod'ed making more than 100hp. In fact, other than supercharging I don't know if there is a way to get 165 ponies out of an Evo engine.

My conclusion? Mr. Horsepower is Mr. Horse$h!t.

I rode today!!

Although I must admit to being one of those wussies who does not like to ride in the heat....

But that still leaves about 9 months of riding everywhere for me!!! :yahoo:

Ride to work everyday I can. I fold up the suit coat and tie and place them in a side bag with my dress shoes. Don my helmet, coat, gloves and boots and head out. I am sure it is quite a sight watching me convert from my Feejer to a suit when I arrive at work. I am looking for great mesh riding pants. I have a full coat and pants outfit but they are for 80 degree and under weather. at nearly 100 degrees I must have mesh pants or my suit pants look like they were sat on in a sauna. I only have a three mile ride to work but it is a great three miles. I love it when I have to visit a branch office or project sight. Sometimes it can take nearly all day!

Off today, rode yesterday and every day it is not raining when I need to leave. Won't be able to ride to work much longer, they closing our lube plant and paying the old guys off to leave.

Darn, I always ride to work....75 mile round trip, but didn't today of all days because we're playing golf after work and I needed my clubs and pull cart. Had to drive the car and burn up 3 gals of mid-grade. Bummer.

I'll be on it tomorrow! After work we're headed down to Ojai to Bill Meyer Saddles for my new seat. Then on Sunday we're headed up to Laguna Seca for the Moto GP races!!! Whoo Hooo!

Same here, including putting the office clothes in the side bag. Usually we can get away with golf shirts and slacks or jeans, but today it was a suit, then change in a spare office.

I couldn't find mesh pants that kept the armor on my knees so bought a second pair of DragginJeans with the armor. Work well and aren't as hot as the waterproof pants or 'Stitch in the summer.

Took a nice ride to work, didn't think that I actually needed to go in so went for a ride instead. We should do this ride to work thing more often.

Canadian FJR

OK, I'm still here. . . .

Um, when's ride back home day? I'm gettin' hungry. . . .
