Those Pacific Northwest Folks looking for a ride, think about joining us in a the first ever Sagebrush & Mountain 1000. It's a group Washington State Saddle Sore being hosted at Desert Valley Powersports in Prosser, WA on Saturday, May 24th. Dan Denchel is opening his dealership's doors to us and will even have a breakfast ready on Sunday after the ride.

S&M 1000 Blog Entry with Detailed Information Including Players

S&M 1000 Flier

Check out the flier and PM me if interested. I'm planning to share the route the morning of the ride to give newbies the feeling of how a rally works, but I can share details beforehand if it's important to you. Suffice it to say it's not going to be one that routes through the Cascades and the vista expanses of Eastern Washington...mostly on two-lane highways.

Not hardcore enough? I've got an in-state BBG route too if that's more your pace.

Hope to see you in Prosser.

Iggy

Damn, ...that promises to be some good fun and good scenery.

Me needs to see if I can shoe-horn this into the schedule. Good job Iggster for leading this and props to the Desert Valley folks for their part .....

If me can't make this ....I may be attempting to bribe you for the route at a later date

Nicely done Iggy!

Looks like you've taken the throne from SkyWay, e.g. 'roping them in, one rider at a time!' :clapping:

I'd ride it and all, but I'm the CBA prezidente and have my morals, yah know?

Well, I'm not advertising it too widly, but this S&M 1000 is also known as the WRP 1000.....as in Witness Relocation Program 1000.

I could just sign you up as Guido Smithstein and nobody will be the wiser.

If you can....you gotta place to stay.

As a bonus....if I get say....12 or more to commit to the ride...I'll throw a casual BBQ at my place the night before.

I think I have 4 "for sures" at this point.

Count BCSP and me in.
Well, if you, the Adam Savage's illegitimate brother, and Dan are riding....that makes the magic 10 that have committed. With 10 it will mean I'll be able to get the reduce price on IBA certs...and we all know those things look great framed on a wall.

I'm in for the BBG, PM sent. Maybe you could post motel recommendations near the dealership.
Great to hear!

Hotel and discount are being worked by Dan at DVP as we post and will be announced. I jumped the gun on some of this registration process because I had tons of people asking me....more details will flow as the event gets closer.

Very, very tempting. Very, very tempting...

I have a new seat on the way right now, too.

C'mon, man! You gotta do this..! This will be my first LD rally (Yea! Cannon fodder!), so another familiar face will be a welcome sight! I'm actually looking forward to this (in the same way one looks forward to jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, I suppose)!

Well, I've never jumped out of an airplane that I can remember, but I know it would be over much faster than the SS1K, having popped my cherry on a GZ special at WFO last summer. I'm giving it some serious consideration. My biggest obstacles are the weekend it occurs on and the condition of my back. We'll see what happens.

Hi Matt,

Count me in since it is a week before Hyder Seek I can do both.

Got to get my butt ready for the 2009 IBr. :cray:

E-mail sent. No use waiting any longer to do this. I spent 30 years riding around Wa. so I shouldn't get to lost. :)
