ODOT "improved" a section of 26,taking out some of those nasty curves we all despise.
Flatter, straighter, more boring...nothing to see here folks.

I hear tell there's some good riding down around Tennessee way.
I hope it wasn't that set of switchbacks within about 5 miles of Marietta. Those flippin' RAWKED!

Half a year - that's a debbie downer point of view!
I've got silly buggers bugging me about CFR in August for *** sakes and I'm not even the one organizing it.
It's not just silly buggers, I find that everybody likes to bug you!

And last I heard, Bill will not be at this SEO-funk-tion due to his cross-over dual-sporting back woods sexual desires.

I know how you feel Designflaw06

I gave up bikes for 14 years also with a young family. When my oldest was 16 and started talking about wanting a motorcycle I jumped back in with both feet and all four of us have bikes now!

So, yesterday I was watching one of the James Bond movies and I had an idear.

You know the Bond movie where he's riding that BMW and he's handcuffed to the Bond chick? I don't remember the name of the movie, but that's not important right now.

While they were riding, he was operating the throttle and she was operating the clutch.

Maybe, instead of the slow races, we could have a tandem contest where the driver operates the throttle, and the person riding ***** operates the clutch.

Think aboot the ensuing hilarity!

I'll hold your beer and watch.

Should be a good un'.

I'm very interested in this...would someone please explain more about this "ramble" so I know what to expect/look forward to as winter sets in? Thanks!

I'm certain Mark will be along shortly to provide an extended explanation... In short, it's a "show up & ride" event. No t-shirts, no organized meals, just great friends and even better roads. Toss in some beer and a shopping cart, and the entertainment factor is huge...

Wayne covered it. Very informal get together.

The main thing is the roads, and riding them...and the chilling after the day in the motel parking lot.

A lot of varying riding paces involved, so multiple riding groups and a strict mandate to effin ride your own ride and not try to keep up with anybody.

Fun.

EDIT: I'm not the organizer of this ride. I hope to show up if my job situation allows.
