A BIG THANK YOU for allowing a " foreign" cycle to be part of your group ride ! I had a nice time not only on the ride, but in all the time spent hanging out & meeting nice people ( and 1 fantastic dog too
smile.png
).

I'm the guy on the silver St1300. I love my cycle, but I am 99% sure that my next one will be an FJR. That could happen as soon as I get the building permit to put an addition on the doghouse I typically find myself in at home. Will see how that works out.... until then I'll keep riding my STeed & trying to improve on my riding skills & eventually be able to keep pace with you FJR friends.

I met so many folks that it's impossible to name them all.... especially since everyone has a pseudo name too (HA), but I have to point out that Steve took hours of his day to trailer a rider ... whom he hardly even knew, home who had had an accident. I get the impression that that is just him..... as is the fun we had at the Brewery and with his "wig act".

I hope our paths cross again & until then.... be safe & have fun riding. Dave

One of the great things about the group of folks that come to these events is that there is never a question of helping when it is needed.

They are nicer in person than on the forum

JK (I think)

Glad you had fun and hope your buddy rids that soreness really quickly. Hope to 'sea' you again at another sippy-hole event/rally!

Oh the ST contingent was no problem. It's that guy wearing the T-shirt "Bust My Wallet" and riding the 1600 that needs his chops busted. Mostly for lack of gray hair and failure to ride through the puddle.

I only have pictures of the silliness at the Motel. The rides were way too fast to grab a camera. No one wants to see people riding a clown bike, right?

Tom, it was great riding with you. It was a pretty good pace. Especially when we saw Ken, Bryan and Petey catching up to us. Glad we didn't collect that venison, though. would love to ride with you again. Bring some more rear tire, though!

More rear tire. Great idea! It ended the weekend really smooth.

You should have warned me about this guy...

El Toro Joe had the idea to meet a couple of us and ride down on some of the Eastern Loop. Well a couple plus 9 showed up in Cadiz.

Who is this guy? I think he wanted my wallet!

Ready to ride after lunch.

Things got more scary once we arrived in Marietta. People waiting with beer and beemers.

Wheaton, you've changed!

The real color of a 2014 pales in comparison to the Galaxy Blue.

Someone said, "bring chairs", so we all stood around and drank beer

The 2005 in all its awesomeness. No one would park next to it.

Oface posting dirty pictures and complementing moderators.

^^ Nice picture montage.

Unfortunately, that camera still cannot capture the true color of the red '14ES!

Some cigars are better than others. I wouldn't know, but I've heard it from an expert.

DSC_0719_05-05-2014.jpg

Portrait. I'm thinking of minting some FJR currency.

Photoshop fodder. Thanks Topspeed1

Some things cannot be explained by words alone.

Attempted revenge. We did find some decent mexican food near the hotel, but everyone ate it too fast to take a picture.

Some were more interested in the chips than others.

DSC_0733_05-05-2014.jpg

Flowback found a new ride on the way home...he was pretty good on the clown bike too.

DSC_0734_05-05-2014.jpg

Of course he had to borrow appropriate safety gear.

I should have remained a bystander. That was the smart move.

A rare appearance by Gray Ghost with his already outdated, but recent mileage update.

Another attempt at capturing PhilJet's 2014, but no dice.

Drinking after the second day, and everyone is looking good.

Well, not EVERYONE

DSC_0784_05-05-2014.jpg

My only road shots were on the way home at a slower pace. I had a great trip up 26 to Ohio 800 and crossed the Ohio River at New Martinsville and took WV 7 east. Not bad for flat straight and boring roads.

A very fitting RR to a great weekend Tom. It was a real pleasure to meet up with you on Friday, and hang out with you for the weekend. Let's do it again soon.

Excellent camera work Tom!

...If I didn't always have a beer in my hand I probably could of snapped some social hr pics too!

No food porn pics deserved!

You may have already seen me doing the Rio Grande crossing in 'fitters RR

When I got home, I sought out the rear drive for any moisture entry. U know, hot drive hits cold water- it can create a vacuum into the breather. All was well after overnite examination (with gear fluid poured into a mason jar) no water pockets or bebee's on the bottom of the jar. Nice! Whew!

Back to Ramblings...

Me n Petey.... yeah the funny look on my face is because I thought Bill was going to skoot my ass, instead I got CB radioasized (thank you 'fitter)

20140503_182152_zpsc4c588ba.jpg

His reply back was "don't you worry Dick!, I'll be there at the next one and yes, that's a bad ass bike!" ....we all know steamers a Kawi guy
