April 18, 2013 recon report

RT 77 South to 250 East to 800 South to 26 South to Marietta. Rt 7 East to 260 North to 26 North to 800 South to 7

Lunch on rt 7 in Fly watched the ferry to Sisterville W.V.

Rt 7 North to 255 North to 800 North to 250 West to 77 North

400 miles All roads gravel clear Cops and Staties everywhere

All roads flat straight and boring.

Microtel is an excellent location, Bob Evans right next door, Fast food within walking distance, 24 hour Marathon for adult beverages is a #3 wood away. Hampton is closed, so is the B.P. Station. KTM dealer 1.5 miles East on Rt 7, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, dealer 2.0 miles East on Rt 7. Marietta Brewing, and Boathouse both open for business, Local talent on display everywhere, 86 degrees and sunny, (Whats not to like about a college town in the spring.)

Down side My body is shot, I had to stop for Advil and 5 hour energy on the way home. "Why is youth waisted on the young"

Wish you would have let me know you were headed in that direction. I took a 1/2 day vacation yesterday to go riding...I would have just called in sick, and joined ya. See ya in a couple weeks

Wayne, you know there are ALWAYS cops and Staties in SE Ohio.

It's a wonder we ever ride through that straight, flat, barren land...

I don't think I've ever seen a leo on the back-ohio roads. This is ok, 'cause Mark is leading...

After last year, I'm on probation. VA is already a no-fly zone for me.

Wayne, you know there are ALWAYS cops and Staties in SE Ohio.

It's a wonder we ever ride through that straight, flat, barren land...

There were unfriendlies up and down 77 and 250 en masse, also heavy activity on 7 and 800.

I managed to slip thru their lines undetected yesterday, but they detected me twice already this year.

Once was 53 in a 30 the other was 60 in a 40. I'm waiting for my letter from ODOT to arrive shortly.

I just heard from Denny...he's still out in Cali. He said he'll make a decision by the end of next week, wether he'll be back for the Ramble or not.
