Don't mean to stray off the main topic, but Steve, how many miles on your Ohlins ? I have 13,000 (1 year) since last rebuild and it still feels fine. I'm going to gamble and run it another year. hopefully I get another 13,000 before it needs work. Last time I did this it got bad at about 22,000- 25,000 miles.

My shock is two years old now, so that puts it around 50,000km, about 35,000 miles. Its due. I'd like to ship to Rick at Cogent, but I'm going to see who I can find in province first. I'm sure their is somebody who rebuilds Ohlins in Ontario.

Then again, if I send my shock down to Cogent, they might give me a little discount on a new rear shock for my CRFL (it NEEDS ONE!).

I just booked a room on the Microtel (Wyndham) website and got the room for $78.20 plus tax. Didn't have to pay up front either.

Cool, thanks Bob.

I'll see you in May...should be arriving early evening (if the past is any predictor) Friday with Marty and Griff.

Sounds good. I may spend a night in WV first. My brother may join me, so we shall see. Either way, see you on Friday.

Bob, keep up with me about your plans. Jay & I discussed staying a night in WV, also... but probably have a different plan than you guys. We were talking about riding 16 from the good piece in VA north all the way to the top in WV. Reality says Jay may not be able to go. So, my plans will probably remain flexible... I'd be up to meeting you guys off of 64 or wherever to spend play time in WV if Jay bails. Well hell, maybe even if he doesn't bail. Orrr, you guys may be up to joining us on 16. Let's discuss as time gets closer.

Yes Joe, I've never ridden the entire length through WV & would like to.

Bob - did that advance booking rate have a cancellation policy - when I looked, the advance purchase / booking rate had a 30 day cancellation - i.e. no refund if canc'd inside 30 days of the reservation date.

It's a good deal if your 1000% sure the trip is locked in - my plans aren't that solid yet. I may end up in N. Georgia earlier in the week and work back north.

I will keep you posted, but I think 16 will be out of the question for us as I don't think my brother will want to have to get that far south on Thursday. Nothing firm yet, but my thoghts are to leave from work on Thursday afternoon and meet my brother somewhere in WV.

Okay...got the message. You will be splitting with your BMW riding bro.

Maybe I can con Wayne into splitting a room with me...

No cancellation. Advance purchase. Yeah I am locked in, but I figure if worse comes to worse someone with the ability to cancel can and then can use my reservation. I seriously doubt that will happen, though. I am going damn it!

And I can guess what Joe's group stops for.

Is there a chance of a canceled trip? First I'd heard of this.
