Here are a few from the summer trip to Montana with Brodie.

Love the red roads in Zion NP!

Looking down from near the top of Going to the Sun Road in Glacier NP. Some of you may notice the Givi trunk in this shot - the trunk came from Brodie's first FJR and we had swapped for this ride since my trunk has a GoPro mount on it.

By the side of the road off of US89 in Wyoming - nice shot of the Grand Tetons!

Pants, some nice shots there, especially the food ****. As a birding dude, I have one fix for you, though. This is a Great Egret, not a Snowy. The snowies have black beaks.

There. I feel better. Someone was wrong on the Internet and I corrected it!

My favorite photo of the year

On the big basin hwy in Nevada about 800 miles into a saddle sore 1000 with BeamerReamers leading and Panman in the middle. Ended up the day in WIlliams Arizona with 1132 miles completed.

I won't attempt to compare or compete with the quality of most of what has already been posted. But the memories are important.

This is Gixxerjasen and I this past June in the South Texas heat. Jasen was good enough to invite me to the Two-Wheel Texans forum BBQ outside San Antonio TX. I was almost to the halfway point on my SS1K. I was treated to some first rate BBQ. Jasen is truly nicer in person than he is here on this forum. A first class guy. Since I was riding my Honda ST1300, I wanted the pic next to Jasen's FJR.

This one is of Dad drinking coffee after I had installed his G2 Throttle Tamer, his Kaoko Throttle Lock, unplugged the O2 sensor for the PC-V, changed the oil and filter, and washed his FJR for him. I also made the coffee. This was right before we took our trip to North Carolina. Yes, I also polished it with the Yamaha Spray Detailer you see on the seat.

Three of the four bikes the morning we began our trip. Little did we know the Harley would be totaled 24 hours later.

At our lunch stop on the Natchez Trace. First the four bikes, then Dad and Cousin Byron.
IMG_6260.jpg

I like this one because it was the last pic I had of Byron before he totaled the Harley and nearly killed himself in the process. He and Dad have their bellies full of BBQ.

The Harley after the crash.

I like this one because all of the modifications I made to Dad's FJR were paying off. He was completely comfortable and confident. He was completely happy with the FJR.

My cousin David and I at Bald River Falls. He was learning that his GoldWing could corner and that the know-it-alls back home did not have a clue. It was his first time in the NC/TN area.

It isn't much of a waterfall but that is one cool photo op for some guys raised in a Louisiana Swamp.

I think that is enough...Which tells me I don't ride enough in the course of a year.

Maybe it was the truly rare albino snowy egret.

I'm enjoying the hell out of this thread. SOOO many great places to see that I haven't been to yet. If you haven't posted here yet, DO IT!

Ok, I'll bite. Not so much scenery, but memories for me. (Click on any image for larger view)

In the centre of the first there's a rock with a nesting stork on it.

Taken while I was on tour in Spain, the same day my granddaughter was born, and before I knew it. Pure coincidence?

Also taken in Spain, a road and Tomtom's view of it. Pity about the weather.

Touring in Scotland, we're watched by this handsome chap:

Looking over some water. Just left of centre there's this boat, I really like this one.

One of the hotel's rooms and its nasty gravel car park:

Oh, yes, Loch Ness. Not much of a monster visible.

All memories for me. I need all the help I can get.

Thanks to everyone who has already participated in this thread. And to those who haven't yet (you know who you are) let's get on the ball here!!

By the way, this isn't a competition. It's more like the Special Olympics and everyone's a winner. It's all about reminiscing and looking back and sharing your own riding year than how fancy your photos are, though clearly many of you are fantastic photographers.

Now... Keep 'em coming!!

wfooshee - thanks for pointing out my error. My father and my son are the shutterbugs and birders of the family. If the moon is right, they let me tag along, drive the boat, hold the sandwitches, etc.

This thread is AWESOME!!!!

Wrong line from Photobucket, senior El Toro. Use the direct link line, and paste that into the Image button's dialog. Here's yer pitchers:

EDIT: took 'em down, he got it figgered out.
