ok - i admit to not being the brightest bulb in the bunch. I'm using the MapSource sorftware that came with my Garmin Quest2. By default, it saves my routes as .gdb files. If I bring up one of my routes and save it using the 'save as' function and selecting type .gpx, will that then be usable for anyone else using any mapping software? Conversely, if I pull down a .gpx file from that site, can I upload it into MapSource and then transfer it to my Quest2?

You should be able to open the (route) files with Mapsource and then transfer the route to your Quest2.
