It's crazy. It's a look into a mirror that ain't too pretty. I think we place waaaaaay too much importance on the acquisition of wealth. So, they have a buttload of money and built an "empire". That, in and of itself is not enough to admire. Hell, Hitler did that.

And does anyone really know who they are? When have they come across as bad people? They seem to be big on family, charity, freedom...

I'm still wondering what they've done wrong.

(and I never thought I'd find myself defending those guys)

I'm with Murph here... Scab, WTF? So, they have a business (go Capitalism!). It did well. They hired other people to do work (small business creating jobs = healthy economy, which is good for everyone). Where's the bad?

They very publicly donate money, time and product to charitable causes (philanthropy, a side-effect of mixing a conscience with wealth). Are you against having the freedom to give away your stuff? Which part is scary, Scab?

They took the money they earned (it wasn't handed to them by the government), put some into the business (which kept growing), and spent some in the free market. This sounds like a textbook American dream to me... where's the bad?

And so some entertainment person saw them bickering, thought "hey, if they kick that up a notch, people will watch, and advertisers will sign on for this! they're MARKETABLE!" -- without going through the details, what's so scary about that? If you don't like it, don't watch! If you're a Neilson family, the advertisers will get your message! If not, apply if it means that much to you.

So, what it sounds like to me here is wealth envy (you can call me MISTER Boortz). You can't stand these guys because they have something that you do not (or more than you) have.

You voted for Hillary, didn't you? Does redistribution of wealth sound good? Should the government take care of you? Come on now....

And let me finish by stating MY opinion, just to be clear. I think the lot of them are buffoons. I watched the show, and found it a complete waste of time (like most TV, though I do have a weakness for The Unit, The Shield, and Rescue Me -- all worthless trash, I know). I chose not to watch, but I'll be damned to begrudge anyone hard-earned success.

Depends on your outlook Scab and what you do for a living. All I wanted to do since I was about 14 was build a Company as big as I could. I peaked at £1.5m per year turnover. (Winding down to retire now on a third of that). Not as big as some but not bad for a kid who left school at 16.

For that reason, I automatically admire anyone, whether I like them or not, who has made a lot of money themselves (legally).

All that wealth, those buildings, the bikes, the employee's mortgages that are being paid on the back of it, the TV shows, none of it existed until someone had an idea. (Maybee it was even Paul Snr.'s). All that material stuff created from one spark in someones mind. If it were my idea I would be extremely pleased with myself.

And if I can politely correct you on one point, Hitler built nothing.

I'm just saying that just because they made money isn't enough for me to admire them. I don't even know them. So, they made a bunch of money. Whoopie. Maybe I am wrong, but it seems that some of the posts were expressing admiration because they had money.

And...HILLARY!?!?!? I now owe you a jimmy-kick in the jewels. That was cold, very cold. I mean, insults I can take, but HILLARY?

Sure he did. It was an empire and he had lots of money. He didn't get to retire with any of it, but nevertheless. All I'm saying is that a lot of money is not the scorecard I use to determine a persons value. And, that's really about all I know about the OCC boys: They have a lot of money. It just doesn't mean a lot to me if that is the measuring stick.

I can't tell you how happy I am about your reaction. :)

I look at it this way: there's rich people, and there are wealthy people. They strike me as the rich type. Like rappers... just a couple of Ferrari's away from a trailer and pink flamingos

If Paul Jr takes the money, the business, and invests it... road to wealth. 10 pair of $200 boots and a Turbo UltraGlide? Rich......

Interesting that Vinnie and Cody's new website doesn't have bikes for sale, but they've got quality hats and t-shirts they can send you for a small fee... Looks like they've understood the Harley secret... the bike is secondary to the merchandise sales...

How long does it take to set up one of them tee shirt presses?

Exactly my point... why the hell would anyone want a T-shirt with their logo/name on it if you don't even know what the product looks like. Image is everything....

Leave the pink flamingos out of this.... :p

And Barabus... not only did she exploit her (questionable) talent, that little nutjob showed us some very important things:

1) Her 'assets'

2) How NOT to raise our daughters. :)

In all seriousness, money is not the only measure of success. I learned that in 2 parts, the day my daughter was born, and the first day back to work afterwards. :)

But, to jump back on topic (sorta) -- those Teutels seem to have it all... money, family, tattoo's of their dogs. . .

I thought Cody was a little ****. Vinnie seemed like every nice, stand-up guy I know from Joisey.
