Ian is a stand up guy.

He can get overwhelmed, anyone can.

Give him some time.

He will treat you right

He posted this in another thread right after I spoke with him in mid July about my fuel cell kit.

A quick heads up
The 03-05 Fuel Cell kits will wrap up the middle of next week and will be shipping right away. The 06-07 versions will follow right behind them.
A look at a calendar and based on the quote above, would put shipping somewhere in the week of July 23rd. Two months have passed I have not heard or seen anything directly from him since.

I thought I saw Ian on a new Ducati 1098 last weekend - I think he has gone Duc quakey.

I think his handle on the Ducati forum is "Have big DUC, will travel". Go search the Ducati forum for big Duc's.

I've had about one year's dealing with Skyway, and lots of PMs and machine shop type discussions. Always found him to be a stand up guy with great attention to detail.

So that leads me to ask... Why exactly has Skyway not posted since mid-August? Why are some people having obvious difficulty reaching him via email or phone?

Is he okay??? Can anybody confirm that Ian is okay and not in some kind of personal delimna?

Is there anything we can do to help him???

He made it to Gerlach, but we didn't talk.

I share your concern Jeff. I'm going to suggest that this be the one thread to talk about it....and hope folks don't start a bunch of other conversations or anything resembling a blackball campaign. He's always been a member first.

Jeez... I was just guessing that the business took off much faster than he was prepared for and he's up to his neck trying to keep up. Now you're getting us all worried.

Last I heard from Ian was related to a conversation about the Tpro inserts... and the manufacturing schedule for the Aux. tank mount... no word since, so I'd like to know if he's ok too... It's been a while.

I talked to him at length over breakfast on Sunday. He has a number of veeeeery interesting projects in the works. I can only confirm that he was in fact still vertical and breathing as of Sunday morning.

That's comforting to hear. Didn't mean to worry anybody needlessly, but for purely selfish reasons, we all need him to stay healthy and active. :)

seems like he has a lot of irons in the fire if he has 'veeeeery interesting projects in the works'...

was that ian on the plyaya thread doing drive-by's?

IIRC, the Soltek brackets were sent to the powder coating guy. There was some discussion because TYOecutters lights leaked and allowed water behind the lens. I seem to remember a post whre he didn't want anyone to mount the lights until the issue was solved by Baja Designs. I know Toecutter has posted numerous times on the thread he started where he wassicussing the leaking and Baja's answers.

I'll try and get ahold of Ian tomorrow. He called to check on me Tuesday morning, but I was on my way out the door to the Trauma Doctor Appointment and couldn't talk with him.
