Another effectiveness story:

My bike fell off the center stand while changing tires. Yes, I'm embarassed.

Fell onto the right side slider. The slider held perfectly and is without a scratch.

After I got it back up, I used a car jack stand under each slider to hold the bike in a dandy position for finishing the tire job.

I just got my '06 FJR AE and I don't want to be without Skyway sliders.

What a great product.

Check is in the mail.

Thanks,

Coni

Dear Skyway

I just picked up my 06 today - and would very much like to add some sliders. From all my research, yours look like the very best investment.

I'll send you a PayPal in a moment,

many thanks in advance for your excellent farkle - and wonderful FJR community support!

cheers! :D

Skyway,

I sent the order through Paypal today.

Thanks,

Art

Sky,

Seen these?

I'm thinking your '06 models with the right bolt might go in the same place with a little fairing mod. Then, they would provide better protection, being lower and sticking farther out.

Whaddya think?

First the Motovation (Singapore) company rips off Moko/Moto's design, now they're pirating the RG design !! :angry2:

What tool/size do you use to back the original bolts out? I tried a 3/8" socket wrench but it's too big . . would rather not take pliers to it.

Yikes! I'd skip the pliers too. I think the original mounts were 10mm but I'm working from memory. I did have to pick up the larger size from Sears (it's a BIG Allen key). Remember - FJRs speak metric.

I didn't post this earlier cause I figured everybody knew it but Skyway's sliders are beautiful. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Ian, thanks and I hope things are well for you and your family.

Wow,

That was fast.

I got mine a few days ago and put them right on. (Buying my husband that tall Craftsman chest is really paying off.) ;) I even put some blue locktite and even got the torque on em.

The sliders are truly a work of art and boy do they ever look suweet on the AE.

Great product Ian.

Thanks for your brilliance.

I got mine on.

My experience:

- Shippng was very fast.

- Response time to a question I had was very quick.

- One of the sliders (right) had a pretty good knick on one edge (on the back), and a blemish on an opposite corner. I managed to orient it where you couldn't see either. I'm sure it was rough handling in shipping, but I think the two sliders must have banged together, and the wax paper they were wrapped in wasn't enough. I would suggest a little more paper or bubble wrap.

- Instructions were good.

5 minute job, torqued right up (my right engine bolt was a little loose to begin with!).

Which leads me to a question. I wiped them off with the Honda spray . . but is anything special required for this polished aluminum? Doesn't aluminum oxidize?

Hi Ian

I received my sliders today - many thanks!

I'll need to go pick up a torque wrench tomorrow - but from where I sit, these little beauties are very well made indeed!

I bet they'll look fantastic once mounted.

They were also very well packaged and arrived sooner than I expected.

thanks again! - Cheers - Bull :D

let the farkling begin.

Money order sent via priority mail. You just sold me my first farkle.

Drpped Sheila in a parking lot after doing the Dragon and just got a very minor scuff on the bottom edge of the slider. Many Thanx..

and remember kids: When you make a complete stop you should put at least one foot down to hold up your scooter.
