The first 20 bags are sewn (damn, now I may change my own color :dribble: )and I just gave the go-ahead for another 30. For those who have not yet sent me your payment, please try to get it to me by Jan 10th.
Thanks.
So what color did you go with and which color are you thinking about? Just interested but maybe you shouldn't tell cuz others may want to change their order.

I'm going with the Silver/Grey with Blue trim thats shown on the GB page.

There will be no option for changing color at this stage. Lets not even think about opening that box of fun. :D

I didn't have my camera with me today, but I will take it with me next time. The color I actually like is the blue bag with silver/grey trim. It reminds me of the blue & silver combo of an Aerostich suit.

Also re: my previous comment on payment by the 10th. If for some reason you can't do it by then, just drop me a line and keep me up to date, since I can't hold this GB up because pricing is based on a minimum qty.

I just want to let everyone know that I'm going to be away from a computer until Wednesday. I will catch up on any questions at that time.

Thanks.

That will give folks time to ponder how they're going to remove the screws from the footpegs. I've got a pretty decent toolbox with some manly screwdrivers, but couldn't find one to remove the screws without stripping two of them first.

I ended up using a nearly forgotten impact driver at the bottom of my drawer after I had to dremel a slot into the two screws I stripped.

It turned out to only be blue loctite, but I suggest not assuming these fine threaded screws will come out easily friends.

Looking forward to the hydration goodies. :dribble:

It's a good job that I'm supplying everyone a fresh set of stainless steel socket head replacements.

The factory 'cheese grade steel' just have to go!

I used a heat gun on the back side to remove the stock screws and not too much trouble if you want to keep them from stripping out. PM. <><

Boy...those unsold (not paid for) Hydration Kits are going to be mighty expensive....since they're outside the group buy! I'm thinking at least 15% margin increase to pay for hidden cost overruns. :yahoo:

Just get me a couple of sharp pencils and give me an hour or so with your ledger!

As promised, here's a photo showing the various color combinations people have chosen as part of the GB. Not all are shown since we are not at the end of the sewing yet. I will snap them also when the time comes.

Yellow? Where's skooter's pink one? :dntknw:
Pink?!?!

You neadrathal!

Fuchsia is the color for discerning tastes.

BTW, that black with silver/gray trim looks schweet! Who ordered that combo? And I am guessing the yellow belongs to Kaitsdad?

Oooh... oooh... I see mine... black with the blue trim... Shawweeeeeet!

The nuclear yellow has to be Kaitsdad... matches his gear.

Mmmmmm. I like the one on the left. It will go with the pegs I'm taking off and having all powdercoated black......MMMmmmmm......bacon.

Scooter I ordered late so that one is not likely mine but that is my colour combination of choice.

It's likely to be just out of the shot taken above, as there were around 50 or so bags close by. B)

Also, I just want to check and make sure all you guys aren't having any problems acquiring the Rubbermaid insulated jugs?

Ruubermaid? Oops. I did find this 1/2 gallon Coleman at Wally-Mart for about $3.50 each two weeks ago. I don't remember seeing any Rubbermaids.

The Coleman is 5.5 inches in diameter in the meatiest part and 10.5 inches tall. [crossing fingers]I'm hoping it's comparable.[/crossing fingers]

Remember this from the GB web page? The jug I used for my setup is called the Rubbermaid Victory 1/2 gallon jug.

I'll measure what I have here and let you know.

The Rubbermaid measures 6" dia. x 10" tall, so the Coleman 'ain't gonna fit. :(
