but I have also had a "run in " with this guy on the for sale thread ,, telling people that a member was selling his item higher than what he had paid ,, and then arguing with several people about what they paid for items ,, then writing me a PM trying to intimidate me ,,

This is akin to going to other forums to find some "dirt" on people, and re-posting this "dirt" here in an effort to discredit/embarrass/intimidate/whatever.

Agreed, but if someone is getting involved in the transactions of the classifieds and either causing problems or mis-informing people, we (Admins) should be notified.

Unless it causes direct harm to others (kinda like a patient saying he's going to whack somebody) I think PM's are for the intended audience.
